What made you chose to stop believing in astrology?

For me it was when this renowned astrologer wrote something about how people of my sign are living "dead" people with no egos and mentioned a serial killer with that same sign. Da hell? Why would I chose tp be lumped in with serial killers? I'm not a perfect person but I'll be damned if I let anyone insinuate that I am comprable in any way to a literal serial killer. And to say I am a living dead person. What the actual hell? Its so dehumanizing.

Because I think it's crazy to believe in such a thing when finding a mate. I confronted a girl into astrology about this. That I didn't believe in it.
Told me what zodiacs she wasn't into. I didn't say what mine was, I was just being me. We got a long well, she flirted back. Then guessed my sign.
I confirmed her guess was correct to see her reaction, she was the same sign and felt more 'connected' and I asked how she knew and she proceeded to list basic generic traits that anyone can have and pasted a zodiac on it.

After all that I came clean, saying I lied and wasn't that zodiac. She was speechless.

It works for some, but not for everyone.
Ernst Wilhelm himself said that he and other astrologers look for a specific sign that instantly means ASTROLOGY DOESN'T WORK FOR THIS PERSON!
Of course there are PsOS who would lie, to hopefully make money.
I studied some astrology and helped myself a lot. But I never do any reading for anyone else.

I couldn't help notice that whatever was said about people under my sign were also being said about people under all the other signs! If we've ALL got the same stuff, why would a sign you're born under make any difference?

No, only that, when I was reading other peoples' supposed traits based on the sign they were born under, I had those, too! So did other I know that weren't under those signs so, if everybody's got the same traits, what's the point of astrology? Also, most of the stuff that was said was going to happen to me never happened! I'm also pretty sure that if you go to several astrologers the same day, they'll each tell you something completely different.

They try to make them so vague they’ll fit anyone. John Stossel has done experiments giving a room full of people the same horoscope. They all said it was accurate.

They even change the actual traits they assign your sign. Like they say your sign is affectionate but then another source says that people of your sign tat are born during certain time period are cold. Like what the hell? So am i affectionate or cold?

From about the age of twelve, I developed a very simple experiment. If you can tell someone’s traits by his or her sign, you should be able to do the opposite. I ask them to tell me what my sign is. People think it is proof of the accuracy of astrology when they get it right on the seventh or eighth guess.

Nothing because I don't believe in stuff like that anyway. But if one does leave astrology they will probably just jump to another belief because it's a complexity they seem to have people who believe in things without proof.
