I spent 12 years as an atheist, raised in a Roman Catholic family before I left the faith...

And yet I can say with 100% confidence that Bible is true.

"I am the way and the truth and the life." - Jesus, around 33AC.

If you search for truth about this world, you will eventually realise this yourself.

Also, I always thought that religious people are simple and backwater... yet when I joined my Evangelical community I found that they are more aware of what's happening in this world than anybody else I met in my life (not online). And that's all of them as a community.

God is the truth. Jesus is the truth. If you love and desire the truth you will find your way to Jesus. Or he'll find your heart and speak to it.

@BlacklightShade You can't be raised AS a Christian - nobody can enforce a Christian belief on someone. It's possible that you were raised BY Christians. But if you're trying to use the fact that you were raised by Christians AS leverage against the faith then you're mistaken. You can only be a Christian if you have accepted Jesus Christ as the son of God, that he is the living word of god and that he is the Messiah (saviour). Unless you've done these things then you've never been a Christian. The word 'Christian' means 'disciple of Christ'. It was in Antioch that Christ's disciples were first called 'Christians'. (Acts 11:26).

When the proponents of the religion don't even know their leaders name (it was Yeshua, not Jesus), and they can't get his year of birth right and they played loose with the time of his birth (middle of winter my ass, when supposedly lambs were being born at the same time) and the date of his death is similarly changed every year in accordance with the moon rather than on a specific day.. All these things indicate myth, and that the early founders knew it was a myth.

But like many religions, its followers are encouraged to never think or question the details - just believe. So they have never looked at it with a critical eye or a critical mind. If they did, they'd realise quite quickly how ridiculous it all is.

Depends on how one believes in it. If somebody believes very strongly, it might be a fact for them. If somebody doesn't believe in it at all, it's a myth for them. If somebody doesn't know whether to believe it or not, or if they are with some part of it and not others, it remains a faith for them

Everybody worships something. As for atheists - it's themselves. Atheism has given us fascism and communism, and they have caused tremendous harm. Why should we look up to atheism and its lack of moral foundation and chaotically disunifying philosophy? Christianity's teachings of loving one's enemies, and not being prideful have sought to reverse such mindsets of self-worship but typically there are a lot of hypocrites along the way. These hypocrites misrepresent the bible for selfish gains. One example of such hypocrisy is the catholic church and how Romans tried to integrate Christianity into its politics as a means for politicians to control the growing Christian masses - but Christianity and politics were never meant to go together. In modern times, a pope is just a nonsensical man spewing out political garbage with a religious twist.

If people cared to read the bible instead of blindly ignoring it with their hate and using it as a scapegoat then we would be productive on these matters of morality and what Christianity truly is for once. But it seems that atheists and their self-worship are unwilling and too prideful to do some real research for once rather than spewing out selfish nonsense.

Atheism is defined as "an absence of belief in the existence of deities" Notice how 'deities' is plural, includes every perceivable god and not just one or several gods. Denying other gods doesn't make you an atheist and denying only the Christian God doesn't make you an atheist.

What the founder didn’t want is The government telling at citizens which religion they had to subscribe to, Like France was with the catholic faith and England with the anglican Church. Individual rights and freedoms came from secular ideals not christianity. There is nothing in the bible about individual right and freedoms, christianity is in fact the exact opposite of that in that you are bound to your god, you have no choice of who to worship and you are limited in what you can say (not considering obvious criminal speech).
You do not "need to subscribe to some sort of religion" There is not one single law in the U. S. that advocated that in anyway. "In order to get along in the U. S."?
Name one single thing an atheist cannot do that a theist can do in the U. S. Name one right or freedom an atheist does not have that a theist has and if you can't then can you please elaborate on why one must subscribe to a religion and how do they not get along in the U. S. if they don't.

@SEAtac of course the founders wanted people to be able to worship they way the individual sees fit to, but we were founded on Jewdal Christian values, “ We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” if the idea is that we were given our rights by our government the government can just as easily take them away. And the idea that all men are created equal means that you shouldn’t be racist because we were all created in the image of God. The reason why the founders never set up an official religion is because of the warring between the Catholics and protestants and they didn’t want that to happen in the United States our very way of life in the United States was founded on the belief that God exists.

Does an unborn child know that he will ever live? He may never know but yet he's born anyway. There is no proof or disproof that we live or die after death but the body surely dies. But if we are reborn after death, would eternal life truly work without a God? I don't think so -- whatever any non-almighty being can arrange we will eventually find flaws in and tire of. We would mindlessly suffer and die in a vicious cycle of pointlessness.
