Religion is all about drama: yes or no?

Personally I believe people need structure and something to believe in especially when it comes to death and the afterlife. People are scared to die. Religion helps them with their hang ups about death. A world without religion is a world of chaos. In the last 15 to 20 years I have seen religion all religion looked down on amd pick apart. The world has gotten worse and it probably will get a lot worse. I must also tell you that I'm not a religious person. Death doesn't scare me and I just study people and I like learning about why they act or do things in life. For good or worse people need faith to guide them through life. Most people don't have a strong enough mindset to do it on their own

Yes it's a comedic drama. I mean that literally the bibles story format follows the outline of a comedic roman grecho dramatic play.

Religion is about opting out of reality because reality is at once both relentlessly boring and unfathomly chaotic. Existential dread is the worst possible mental state for anyone, but is also the inevitibale mental state of anyone who has the capacity to fathom it unless you head it off with other mental states crafted specifically to deny the fertile ground to existential dread. And that is what religion was made for. The drama is just a side effect: something to keep people busy with and to keep religion spreading.

No matter the Religion there is a message there a guide line on who to be and who not to be. We were all given the gift of choice when we were born. . Our parents set a foundation for us and then set us free to start our lives to become who we want
And we choose who we want to be by the things we say and do. That means you're real but there are some people that use religion to belittle everybody else and that's what makes the drama. There are so many they are just bad people and they are the worst sinners in the world and they think by going to church if they are protected and they are the people that make the drama because no matter what you do we will call you on it and it's a big big mess the worst Sinners are the ones that cuz the worst drama

Western Monotheistic Religions are all about Obedience, Judgment, Persecution and Retribution.

Eastern Spirtual Seekers such as the Hindus, Taoists, and Buddhists take a much more natural approach, no one 'GOD' will condemn you for your actions, you will simply have to live with the consequences of what you do. You will either discover a higher spirtual ideal to link your actions to your actions will chain and bind you physical and sensory temptations which will eventually lead to your own self destruction. You've got an infinite number of chances to discover your true spiritual identity 'ATMAN' if not in this lifetime then perhaps the next.

Depends. For example, there's a big difference between religion and following one's beliefs. Religion is often outward, while for example following Christ is inward, meaning you have to do things even when no one is watching. In fact, working even harder when no one is watching is best, because it displays love and not just pleasing others' eyes

im not religious, but I'd say, religion is not full of drama, people who blame God for their misfortunes and shortcomings are full of drama. Why? Because they did not work hard and believed that God would save them, and hence, now they suffer. Its their own fault. Im not generalizing everyone though. People who are religious, can be drama free, if they do not follow everything blindly and instead question everything

As an old Hippie, I have a different take on religion. I came out of the Jesus People of So. Cal. In the 60s and 70s. The Bible teaches that salvation is through faith in the sacrifice that Jesus Christ did on the cross. After that, we are spiritually alive and live by trusting Jesus to lead us in life. A lot of what passes for religion is really a money making sham. I don’t belong to any organized religion. I follow the NT rule of faith in Christ and love for others. It is just that simple.

No, it's about power and control in most of them. Then ones that isn't this have mostly died off or just hold some cultural perveance to traditional stuff they do but no actual religious organisation behind it all.

Religion is about the ways to have a good lifestyle or at least that was the base structure of religion. It's just how people perceived the orignal sayings which later were manipulated by some assholes for personal benefits. Drama or stories i'd say was the medium to express these ways in an interesting form because people follow what pleases them the most and it worked. I am an athiest but i do believe religion had a logical sense back in the day.

I wouldn't say that, I would say it's a more like a way of living that has evolved into drama or have been by some people.
Tik-tok and people saying Oh my God after every phase they speak is drama to me.
