Do you think Heaven sounds like a place only for prudish people and monastic types?
Do you believe we will still have freedom in the afterlife?

I'm an atheist, I'm unconvinced any afterlife exists. But I do find it interesting how many christians I've talked to who seem to think that their afterlife is like a neverending holiday resort in the sky - that's totally non-biblical.
The christian afterlife is like an existential nightmare for people who actually care what the religion says.
The version of 'you' that goes to heaven is a lobotomized version of your actual character. Not only do you have no access to the negative emotional/vice traits that define you as a character, you don't even have autonomy. The christian heaven is just legions of people chanting praises to their god for an eternity, with no desire nor freedom to do anything else.
Less neverending holiday resort, more perpetual church service.
*Shudder*
No. There's no freedom in the afterlife. Fortunately there isn't one.
I believe we are better off if we do things God’s way
There is no such thing as "freedom of speech," all speech has consequences. None in the history of the world have ever been prosecuted for thoughts.
The Afterlife is not about freedom or thought - you won't be tied down by such mortal frivolities. You will be the master of whatever deeds you sent along with you.
Yes. Those saved won't use their freedom for evil but rather love.
People living in the new earth won't even know what evil is anymore as they will be prufied and 100% righteous.

I don't think there even is an afterlife. We are born, we live, and then we die. That's it. What more could a person want?
True freedom is what made this go crazy. The afterlife freedom will be restricted
It sounds boring AF. I'm glad it's not real.
I believe that freedom is an illusion.
There is no afterlife.
