which bible...
how many different bibles are out there...
why is there more than just one bible, and not just one bible...
if it is the word of god... which god?
are there many words of god or are there different words from the same god, therefore different bibles?
bible
@all_hayl so over here in Mexico... would it be right to say that Jesus is the tamal of life?
because that's what we had down here when Europeans showed up with their "evangelion" we had tamales and tacos
they actually made up the tale for La Virgen Santa de Guadalupe, Madre de Dios, sin pecado eres concebida
actually, fun fact... tamales were made of actual bodies flesh... but not the body of Jesus, just the bodies of criminals
You know the bible is a collection of different books written by different individual people right? Why are there certain books in the bible and others are not? Why can only very few people in Vatikan see the books that were decided not to be part of what people are allowed to see?

Why would a devine being such as God commit evil acts such as demanding worship, sacrefise or flooding the earth?
God does not orchestrate or condone Evil.
Factors:
-Creator, God has Standards and they are found in His Preceptive Will (10 Commandments/Scripture). We know what they are.
-Man is given ability to discern between good and not good.
-Man is given free will where can either choose the not good or good. We are not determined impulses or robots as we have Being.
SO, when those standards are violated a righteous Judgment, on God’s Time is rendered. Sometimes it’s Mercy and sometimes it is Wrath. If you acknowledge your sin, request forgiveness, and repent then you shall be reconciled with God.
—Man chooses evil of his own volition. Putin chose to invade another country (not good) etc..
You are missing the point and your examples are nonsensical because you have no knowledge as it relates to subject matter of God as a whole.
I don’t need to line item you’re examples because there is nothing evil about them. God that allows one to do or not do those things is not evil, Communist governments where there are no choices besides death is evil.
-But, to suit your sensibilities I’ll do it. Demanding worship as a creator God is not evil. Besides that, you have the option not too. That example is nonsensical.
-Blood sacrifice is part of the covenant. A covenant is an agreed to contract. Again, freely chosen and not evil.
I know I’m not the only one shaking his head and thinking you guy have no clue.
Why is it always printed on the same kind of paper?
Bibles are printed on all kinds of paper.
@Daniela1982 I always only saw on type: the super-thin flimsy one that makes this specific sound when you turn a page.
Well apparently you have not seen many Bibles. But I see your point as my oldest Bible is printed on thin paper as you say. Maybe they use that kind of paper, which is thin, to keep it from being too thick a book.
@Daniela1982 Heh heh: I need one Bible only for myself :) - I don't collect Bibles, either.
But really - if I go to a church, friends, or wherever... until now I saw the same material each time (and in different parts of the world, too)
I also have been thinking about thickness. But other books of some 1200 pages -made of other material- aren't significantly bigger or heavier.
No disrespect - but a Bible could as well be printed on recycled paper :) But I guess, that's too scary a thought for ''hardcore'' believers :)
I think the Gideon Bibles that you find in motel rooms are.
But usually people keep Bibles for life, so why not have a nice one? I have had mine since 7th grade.
@Daniela1982 As it happens - my one is a ''Gideon's'' :)
(Book stores with Bibles are rare in Thailand :D )
A ''nice one'' indeed would be 'cool' - I'd want one from the middle ages- as large as a table and with gilded pictures :D
Hope you got a $million.
:D perhaps they sell them on installments?
What does it mean the meek Will inherit the earth I thought
everybody lives in heaven with your family
You might check out Matthew 7:21-23. Not EVERYONE will be in heaven. Plus, seems most people don’t actually have a clue about what heaven is. John 17:3 and Genesis 15:1 (among others) tells us what heaven is, and it’s a bit different than what many people presume it to be.
Food for thought. Cheers.
not much anymore I know a ton of it
and I do not need to know everything
im not GOD
im good with that
None. I understand the Bible very well. 😀
