yes, it's not about sin hurt to others but disconnecting from God by way of sin. God want's or is the connection with you. God wants connection for God IS. That be the issue in Genesis... being "cast out" and later in Bible, God wanting re-establish love via Christ.

—As it relates to out totally depravity or sinfulness, if you refer to Paul’s statement above says it all. And in both Not doing the good I want to do I gain a sinful pleasure. And, as well as Doing the “not good”, I gain pleasure from that/those sins as well.
