In my opinion people are slowly losing interest in the religion and others are modifying it to be more liberal. Living a 7th century lifestyle in the 21st century just ain't it for some folks. The world's changing and peoples perspectives are changing.. that's all I can say that as someone who was a practicing Muslim.

I think because people have the internet now and are exposed to different things , different societies, different ideas and opinions. It plays an influence. No I'm not a Muslim anymore. I was a few years back :)

For me it’s difficult when I’m judged by other Muslims and they keep trying to force the religion down my throat and make me sign up for Islamic classes. I was sick so I missed the morning prayer for Eid, but I went out later with my husband

I'm pretty sure that if it was easy to be a good person, regardless of subcategory, a LOT more people would be doing it. And heck, it's hard to be a good Christian, and we at least get bacon cheeseburgers.

Yes it is difficult to follow any religion in the 21st century as our morals have changed. No need to follow some thousands of year old morals that do not apply anymore today.

Life and society has evolved dramatically over the last few centuries, so did our morals and values. I just don't see why anyone would follow some old rules of the past.
