I don't hate/dislike Islam, nor do I like It. I am very neutral about the religion but I would prefer a Dharmic religion like Hinduism/Buddhism etc. because they are more open to athiestic traditions and are very diverse, So you do not have to follow everything. No hate to Islam.

He said they are more open to atheistic traditions and very diverse which is true. Compare Christians I've met to them and one is clearly more open than close minded. Obviously there will be the extremists somewhere still been super Conservative.
But trust me the stark contrasts are there. Hinduism is way more inclined on science and less pushy with their own views onto people.

It's not belief it's just a fact of life that Hinduism exists here too. And I've met many nice people of such religion. I've also talked online with many Indian girls they all be pretty nice people.
If you want to talk about the screwed up parts of India I think that's a very separate issue and can be found anywhere with Conservative views not just because of Hinduism. You can easily find such bad views from Islam or Christianity that have ruined parts of their countries for a while.

Well every religion has people who try to manipulate the whole religion. But if you read the religious transcripts, your opinion might change. You have just met a few people and this religion is nowhere inclined towards scientific facts. It's totally different in a country where the religion itself was born and the reality is different. I am not supporting Christianity but Hinduism is nowhere different from Christianity when it comes to being close to atheism. I can totally support Buddhism, a way better religion than the two.

@DavidRaul You actually can't read Hinduism original transcripts as they were locked away by a family. Ever since then people who follow Hinduism have just been basing their faith on traditions they remember along with a Islam influence getting mixed in at points.

Some Persian family hid it away.
Might just be the Persian side so hmm not sure but this family did lock it away from their people at least. From what I've read of the stuff that you can read though I don't see any bad motivates in it. A lot of it is just old tales of lots of different gods shrugs. And in Hinduism you can even worship your own personal vision of god making it very open.

It was just a translation, a mere depiction of the Mahabharata translated into Persian. No one follows the transcript which is mentioned in this article and i doubt anyone knows about it. The mentioned transcript was just a translation , nothing more than that. Original transcripts are dated back to somewhere around 1200 B. C. E. Original manuscripts are written in Sanskrit

And no you cannot worship the way you want. It is not very open the way you see it. I am a sikh and live with hindu majority. I have a deeper sense of how this religion works, observing it, in a country where the religion itself originated. You have to go deeper to understand this religion. Such articles won't give you a clear knowledge. That article was just a historical fact of bringing these two religions together, nothing more than that

@DavidRaul That's fair about needing to be there to see it. I guess Hinduism is different over here than it is there. Because over here it's very grounded, most scientists turn out be into Hinduism than anything else.
Meanwhile science has always had to combat Christians over here there a major reason for lots of problems. Meanwhile Hinduism is not here.
Though I do again think that's a separate issue because that's more to do with population. If the religion is big in one place it's gonna have a big community who will be very conservative and science haters.

So perhaps the agreed upon thing would be Hinduism is closer to science over here than Christianity. Meanwhile over there it's the opposite.
