Me, I'd just be like, "well, that's like, your opinion man?" I wouldn't give a shit, a lot of people feel that way.
It doesn't matter if I don't feel the same way, it's a free country. Some people get really offended by other people's opinions, which is really narcissistic when I think about it.

See now I'm thinking about it outside of myself, and my brain is coming up with plenty of reasons one might say that. Reminds me of this dude I really triggered last night when I said, "No girl is really yours, it's just your turn." I have more than his entire lifespan of experience and plenty of reasons for feeling that way... and Captain Triggered isn't going to be changing my opinion anytime soon by just calling me names. So he finds it offensive, well, I don't give a fuck and his offense is his fucking problem.

I don't think it's that offensive to say "fuck religions". Especially considering all the damage that has been done in the name of religion (s). Though I would also say that damage would probably have been done anyway in some way or other as human nature, and they just use religion as an excuse or outlet for their atrocities.

Pretty sure this is largely to do with how religions are not just ideas for the the believer, but actually become part of their personal identity. When you criticise christianity, christians get personally offended because how dare you suggest that their god isn't real. ~ Don't you realise that I've been a christian for decades and I have a pErSonAl ReLaTiOnShIp with my invisible skywizard? That's mean to my skywizard that you're explaining that he might just be in my head!!

When people tell me they don't like atheism or have some irrelevant criticism of some scientific principle, no atheist is personally hurt, because it's not part of our identity. Sure, I accept science but I'm not hurt by some moron who doesn't understand how evolution works.
