Why is a religious woman more tolerant if the man isn't religious than vice-versa?

I've noticed combination of a religious, devoted Catholic woman with a non-believer is more common than vice-versa. They aren't too strict on demanding a man with her same beliefs.

However, not many religious men would date or marry an atheist or agnostic woman. Why is a religious woman more tolerant than a religious man?

Even in certain movies, the religious girl going to church doesn't seem to demanding on a religious man. If she falls in love with him, ok she will. I haven't seen it happening vice-versa in movies either.

Tolerance has nothing to do with it.

First of all, it's partly a numbers game. Women tend to be more religious than men, so right off the bat, a Catholic man who is actively engaged in his faith will have more options than a Catholic woman. A man who is particularly devout and knowledgeable on the Faith will have a certain kind of woman he's looking for, so he is able to be more selective.

There's also a lot of theology about marriage that I could get into, but that's not strictly the point of discussion here. I'll just say that in the eyes of a faithful Catholic (and of the Church), marriage isn't just a contract, as many in modern society see it. It's much more than that. It is a sacred bond by which a man and a woman imitate the love and unity between Christ and the Church. So if a man knows this and takes it to heart, he is perfectly justified in, as I said earlier, being more selective in regards to whom he pursues. Then there's also the statistical fact that children are more likely to abandon religious faith altogether if their parents are religiously divided. This is a fair and reasonable concern for a marriage-minded man who takes his faith seriously.

And then there's the fact that some women will in fact "flirt to convert", or that they think they can change a man.

So again, tolerance is not a part of the picture at all.

A lot of religions give the man power. If she isn't religious he loses the power he is used to wielding.
A female that leaves religion gains power.
