Trending & News Alright, so there’s actually a whole story there. So originally, God made a promise to a man named Abram who God later called Abraham. Abraham found favor in God’s eyes, so God promised to bless Abraham and all of his descendants and that his descendants would be many in number. His descendants would become the Jewish People.
So to be clear, God didn’t bless a specific race. He blessed a man who would form a people. So God shows Abraham and his line to be the chosen people. Mind you, technically Judaism is a religion, not a race. If you want to be specific, I believe the ra So God shows Abraham and his line to be the chosen people. Mind you, technically Judaism is a religion, not a race. If you want to be specific, I believe the “race” is Israeli. And there are those who are Israeli, but not Jewish and those of the line of Abraham who are not Jews.
Also, be sure to consider the fact that God blesses other people and peoples back then. In those cases, those individuals or groups usually did something to deserve recognition even if what they did isn’t directly stated. It’s also important to keep in mind that God usually have a purpose for giving blessings. He blessed the Jewish people in part so that they would be in a position to bring forth Jesus Christ (God’s only Son).
And on that note, once Christ had finished his work on earth, the new covenant was set up in place of the old. The new covenant makes gods chosen people not the Jews, but anyone who follows and believes in Jesus Christ. This effectively took the Blessing given to Abraham and his children, and gave it to anyone at all who chooses Jesus, regardless of race. finally, the Bible states that there is one race. The human race. And even if you want to divide the world into ethnicities, God is the creator of all humans. Bottom line, no, God isn’t racist.
I should tell you the Judaism isn’t my field of expertise quite yet though, but I’m working on it.
I will say however, I understand that the God of Christianity and of Judaism are supposedly one in the same, but I’m not sure if there is anything in Torah that could dissuade you from the notion that God is racist. In the Bible though, He’s very clearly not.
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy Could you possibly share the exact place in Galatians?
@MrCon10t: Here's the part. Read the whole context in chapter 3 to see the whole picture.
Galatians 3:26-29
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy Yeah, so I actually mentioned that in my original post!
“And on that note, once Christ had finished his work on earth, the new covenant was set up in place of the old. The new covenant makes gods chosen people not the Jews, but anyone who follows and believes in Jesus Christ. This effectively took the Blessing given to Abraham and his children, and gave it to anyone at all who chooses Jesus, regardless of race.”
Basically, the line of Abraham became the Jews and God’s promise was to Abraham and his line. So until Christ set up the new covenant, the Jews (the line of Abraham) were the only “chosen people”. After Christ rose again, bringing about the new covenant, all people who choose to follow Christ aka “sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ”, anyone can be a part of His promise. So essentially when Jesus set the new covenant in motion, the promise was moved from the Jews to the church.
Partially correct. Everyone before even Jesus came and died had to be saved the same way which is by faith through grace as the book of Ephesians teaches.
We all get saved the same way. By faith through grace.
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy How right you are! I seem to have forgotten that there were exceptions to the rule. We look back on the example of Christ. The people before Christ looked forward to His coming. The common saving theme here is that they had faith in Christ.
@MrCon10t: I'm not right nor its my personal opinion. It's God's word.
Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
The coming messiah was preached by the prophets of God to all nations since the fall of Adam and Eve which the immense majority were pagans even Abraham's country was full of pagans.
Paul through the Holy Spirit calls the gospel a mystery before Christ came. People didn't understand it nor could understand it. They just had to have faith that God will save them and grant them eternal life through faith in him alone and the sacrifice which was to come. Of course many founded to be foolishness as people do today.
As the Bible says the gospel is foolishness to those who are perishing (going to hell)
That's not how it works, kiddo. Race is a social construct, not a religious or scientific one.
Plus, lot of Jews aren't really Jewish, they adhere to some of the faith, and that's about as far as their Jewry goes. Just like you get a lot of Americans claim to be Irish or Scottish - when in fact they aren't.
As for scripture, the Jews were abandoned by God, hence the kingdom Of Israel and Judah being scattered around 722 BCE. The current state of Israel is little to do with that era or people. Hence why it's always in strife, mired in corruption and suffering problems.
Something bad cannot produce something prosperous.

God isn’t racist. But if he were who are you to tell God he is wrong. Society is very prideful to think they can tell the creator of all things what to do the one who creates the complex function of your body, who made the Sun and created the magnetic shield that covers around the earth so that it won’t die from the powerful sun rays. He Created the very air we breath, but some how we are wise enough tell God he is wrong. Maybe you just don’t understand and you are wrong. The foolish things of God are wiser then then wisest things of men.
You believe in science correct? Hopefully you don’t think that’s made up. But if you do then this is what science says:
To every Action there is always an equal Reaction. That's an extract of Newton's third law, that states: To every Action there is always an equal Reaction: or the mutual actions of two bodies upon each other are always equal, and directed to contrary parts.
Well if that’s true then how did we get here?
Who were the first humans and how did they come to be?
What is the beginnings of the Earth? How did it come to be?
If everything has a beginning just like creating artwork, then there has to be an artist who made the art. The Art didn’t just make itself. That’s not science supported.
The fact is people who say they don’t believe in God actually do, however you don’t want to believe in God. Want to is the key. So it’s not that God doesn’t exist, you just don’t want to recognize him.
You pay the rent but you don’t care to recognize you have a landlord.
But even in evolution something can’t evolve from nothing. My point is the beginning. Explain the beginning. 0+ 1 = 1 but 0+0 can’t equal 1 as well. There is a start.
Science itself is imperfect. They said Pluto wasn’t a planet and now they say it’s a planet again. At one point science said the Earth was flat but later on discovered it was round. Science isn't infallible
The point I’m trying to make is that science doesn’t always get it right, not even in its own classifications of things. So my question to you is this: are you willing to bet your life on the idea that God doesn’t exist when you die? Because we all are going to die one day.
It all started with Abraham who had a son named Issac, Isaac who had a son named Israel later changed to Jacob.
Jacob then had 12 sons which came from them the 12 tribes of Israel who the promises, book of the laws and the covenants were givin to.
In saying that God still had preachers and prophets send out to the other nations preaching to them as God is God over all creation and that one is saved by faith through grace in His son Jesus Christ.
God's people now regardless of nation are all those in Christ Jesus who are saved by His blood and grace.
Why not? Do you hate jews so much that the idea is a problem? If i choose red marbles then those were chosen, that makes "sense".
About racism, even Moabite lady, Ruth joined so not limited to a race, so not racist..
the human race tried to kill GOD idiot thats why he divorced them and sent them to the fallen angels
Why do people talk shit about GOD as if you can do anything to stop him?
why are atheist so dumb
What doesn’t make sense it to judge God by your language. God judges you, you don’t judge God…. At least you acknowledge there is God.
It makes no sense to me, since I am an atheist and gods are a myth that disguise the fact that we are responsible for everything, not some higher being.
Back then they were.
Are we now talking present tense? But then again, many Jews still think they are the chosen people of God.
Ha ha, why doesn't he show himself? The irony, in the bible it does say he will, BUT when he does, if you aren't a changed man that believes in Jesus and in the laws in the Old and New testament, you will die with all the other nonbelievers, including fake Christians.
The thing is you make it sound like God will show himself and say here I am🙋🏽♂️ believe in me! God did just that in the past and people only trusted in him at first, the Hebrews during the Exodus in the bible.
You have to trust in him, search him out, he's not going to show himself to all doing obvious miracles of God, parting the Red Sea... AGAIN! 😄. There's more than enough evidence to go around; archeological, historical and bible evidence. The book of Revelation only has a few prophecies that haven't come true yet. He shows himself through that, but like I said it has to be looked into by people like yourself that hears it from people like myself saying this very thing here.
No secret Christians? So you are telling me there is no Muslim country out there who kills "nonbelievers... non-muslims" non Muslim as in christian, catholic, Buddhist, whatever. I see it everywhere on websites, occasionally on the news. It seems to be common, why would I heavily advertise the truth to a bunch of raving lunatics?
Are you claiming Jesus only show himself to those who are about to die?
I guess I did misunderstand your question. Where did you get that? did I not say you have to trust in him search him out?
