Fantasy is often better than reality, but not always. Imagine being able to simply fall asleep into your dreams and never waking up... escaping reality forever.My dreams are full of nightmares, demons and loveWould you want to live your entire existence there until your body simply died?
Time is relative and one could live an entire life time in a few hours... I for one would certainly want to live in mine, even with all my demons to fight. I would have to face them and may even die in those battles or maybe I am my own demons. My worst dreams are better than, the best reality.The evil within, is me.I often wonder if this life is merely a dream that one day I will wake up from when I die, thus I'm already living in a dream world.
I know this is a bit of a dark question, but I've had dreams that seemed like I lived a entire life time in before, some were good, some were nightmares.
I used to have frequent lucid dreams when I was younger. It’s funny how you mention facing your inner demons, because I entered my lucid dreams in that very way. It was unconventional and quite frightening at first, but when I learned how to face my fears and overcome them, I found myself in a lucid dream.
I used to have these vivid hyper realistic nightmares that were so disturbing that when I was a child I was afraid of falling asleep—I didn’t want to enter another nightmare. One day I learned how to take control of my fight or flight response, I found a way to convert my fear into a fighting spirit, I was able to channel all that fear and adrenaline into this fierce will to fight back, I learned how to bring my mind to embody the mental state of Kill Or Be Killed.
I would tap into this part of me that was More violent then what was chasing me, More aggressive than what was trying to hurt me, I found the valor to face my fears by becoming a monster myself. I destroyed what was trying to destroy me. And at the end of it, was peace—an open world so vivid and real, yet without the ghouls and demons and horrific creatures pursuing me in the never-ending night.
Every time I overcame my fears in my nightmares, I would be left with this wonderful open world to explore. In my dreams I discovered powers as well, and I learned to hone them. I learned how to fly, I learned how to teleport, I learned how to summon objects into existence, I learned how to transmute matter—reorganizing atoms to transform one object into another. It was fun while it lasted. But, as my nightmares began to lessen, my opportunity to lucid dream also lessened. After all, nightmares where the portals to my lucid dreams.
Over time I almost stopped lucid dreaming altogether. Nowadays, I lucid dream maybe once or twice a year.
Would I want to stay in a lucid dream forever? That is a little tempting. But, I think I’d still want to stay in the real world. The dream world is great, but once you become too powerful in your dreams, there is no longer challenge. I find overcoming challenges in the real world rewarding and fulfilling. There’s still so much I want to do and accomplish in the real world.
Also, I found my SO in the real world and I would want to bring her with me in whatever dimension I may be going. I can’t bring her into the dreamworld, which means if I want to stay with her, I need to be with her here, in this dimension. Because for me, experiencing love is just as fulfilling—if not more—than achievement.

Ideally, I would want to try to make my reality like my dream world. But considering I'm short in stature here, and women hate me, it's unlikely I could make that happen, no matter how much money I had.
Sure I mean let me pretend with you for example so pretend like I had this crush on you I have this deep hot sexy romantic passionate naughty fantasy value if I could just walk up and touch your hand in the moment I touch your hand goes into Fantasy Land from there on every touch every little blink of an eye it's part of the fantasy and there would be no stopping it every time I would text you the energy the passion the desire we get hotter and hotter you would become part of it too watching it just as much I wouldn't want to have demons or anything like that in it I'm going to be pure ecstasy clear intense pure wetness everywhere I didn't want you to feel it deep slow mo fast motion anything and everything I wanted you to fill in that moment but just be hot hot passion yes I want to try it
I feel like the dreams would lose their meaning, when they are easily attainable. Even though a world without pain and full of pleasure does sound tempting, and I daydream everyday about a place where I'd be surrounded by loving friends, I'd still stick to the monochrome reality. I want to walk my own way, see where it takes me, maybe even help a few people on the go. When I'm on the end of the road, I can reflect on all the memories I made and how much I changed since I left. Know the impact my lousy little life made into this world.
I also find it more romantic and meaningful to find your missing piece after years of loneliness, pain and struggle than to meet them right this instant. I could express them how much I've waited for this day to come, how much I've wanted to meet them. I could express them my utmost love and gratitude.
God no. I'm usually in the dream or I'm watching it. I had a dream last night about being in this rusty building with other people and claiming I won't leave said guy yet, I didn't know him. My dreams are a ride that makes no sense sometimes and it's weird af.

Lol hell no I actually figured how to get out of my dreams and wake myself up. When I watched SpongeBob as a kid that one episode where he said you can dream about anything and control your dreams and I been able to wake myself from weird and fucked up dreams and I have more weird dreams then nice ones when I'm asleep. I just sleep cause it's the human thing to do cause I get tired but I would actually not wanna sleep if i didn't have too cause I rarely have good dreams.
Absolutely not! DGMW, my dreams are beautiful, but it’s not reality! If you are living within your dreams, you might as well be plugged into the matrix. That’s not life! life is in the daily challenges we face and overcome. Without those, what would be the point of life at all? Also, if you are living within your dreams… what happens when you sleep, do you get caught in an infinite dream reality inversion loop?
I have spent a lot of time and effort to “build” a sort of safe space in my fucked up dreams.
When I dream they are life and they do last for ages.
it would be good to be able to live in them more to build and explore.
with lucid, vivid dreams you tend to have a lot of depth with them and also repeatability.
i can fully understand your reference to living an entire lifetime in them.

reminds me of an episode on a show called Supernatural. Where Djiin, would put people in their dream worlds, while their irl bodies were slowly being drained of blood. I think that would be a great way to go, honestly. Sometimes dreams are intensely powerful and much more "heaven-like" than some of the things we have to live through while awake. I can see a lot of people not wanting to leave a scenario like that.
I still have things I very much want to accomplish irl before I would agree to live in my "dream world", but after that, yes there are specific dreams I've had where I've thought to myself, "I wouldn't mind if I just stayed in that dream forever". lol
To be perfectly honest No I wouldn't to be perfectly my dreams included a demon somehow chasing me through the PineBarrens of NJ all I remember is waking up in a cold sweat screaming, because the demon becomes impaled through his throat screaming at me. It a Absolutely freaked me out because my best friend had died on this route 72 when I was home from leave. We Didn't know about cell phones back then
YES, definitely! :) Like you, I've often had dreams that were as realistic as one can imagine, and there were many times when I wished I could have stayed over there.
I would be thin and eat whatever I wanted. Be more beautiful, social and smart. Have a career and be happily married with loads of kids lol. Have a nice house and live in a world with no war or famine.

I'm immortal in my dream and I don't age, but it's not always positive and enjoyable. Everything and everyone decays around me and it annoys me because I can't stop that decay.
I have nothing but nightmares so fuck that. I'd rather shoot myself in the face. I already have to get hamfisted drunk just to sleep for at least 4 hours.

Most of my dreams involve dogs chasing me or getting killed by a truck while hitchhiking through a tunnel. I hardly ever have pleasant dreams. I wish I did. I guess I will just stick with reality.
