From what I remember it means something like "divine wind." A wind God basically... then it's referred to as just 'God' to display that it's the only God... the one true God.

I'm not religious by the way and I'm not making any statements about what you should believe here, just telling you what I remember from lectures... from my college days.

You gotta remember it all came from a place where different tribes had different Gods at the time, and they'd war with each other. That's why the names of demons are basically the names of what once were different particular tribe's Gods... most of the time.
