Why is it that people who often quote and "go by" the bible, are often the ones who are not doing what the bible says at all?

Their hearts aren’t in the right place. These kinds of people like to judge others and control others, taking their preconceived ideas and cherry-picking verses from the Bible (often out of context) to support their arguments. They can get swept up in dogmatic propaganda within their own religious sect and quote the Bible in ways that support their views rather than practicing research integrity with the sources they claim to draw their authority from.


It’s people being overly zealous about their religion without understanding the truth behind it all. It’s religion in the absence of sincere authentic spirituality.


Someone who is truly attuned to God should exude peace and love. They will be patient and humble, not belligerent and arrogant.
