+1 yIt makes a good bumper sticker, but the bible doesn't say don't judge, it says judge not lest ye be judged yourself, meaning don't be a hypocrite and tell people not to do something you are doing.
It also says in John 7:24 how to judge with righteous judgement, and Romans 13:4 "For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil." That seems kinda judgey.
1 Corinthians 6:3-5 King James Version 3 "Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church." Here admonishing the church for seeking dispute clarification from secular scholars instead of from within the church.
Believe in the bible or don't, that's on you, but if one is going to use it as a shield or sword, the least one could do would be read it.
As someone who has read each of the Torah, Christian Bible, most of the Catholic Bible, Quran, and Tripitaka at least once cover to cover, it always amazes me how those who quote one of them the most seem to be the ones who have read it the least.

+1 yLots of people inside and outside of the church, including many pastors/ministers/priests yank passages out of context as a pretext for their arguments. The passage in Matthew 7 that speaks of not judging is in the context talking about judging hypocritically. Funny that I have referred to this twice today on the site.

+1 yIf you believe in God then you’ll meet your maker on tour judgement day… So leave others to theirs on theirs… The point of judge not lest ye yourself be judged, is showing everyone is a sinner and it’s not your place to judge the level of someone else’s sins… People should worry about their own sins and let others worry about theirs

Personally I’m not into the Bible because it’s contradicting and people have been using it for years to argue against each other and defer from peace. A book about supposedly being a better person should not defer peace.

+1 yactually it said "do not condemn" so they probly say it only not to HEAR criticism, what serves their wants.

It says spread the message of the bible with is God loves all his children even the sinners come on even I learnt that in bible studies spread his message dont mean weponise the bible funny thing is your attempt to use the bible as a weapon makes u a sinner for he who is without sin may judge and u my friend are definitely a sinner also
- +1 y
Lol u clearly need to speak to your pastor if u think causing arguments is what God wants u to do 🤣 funny how does that claim to be holy tend to be not and what makes it worst if their is actually a god out there u will be punished worst then any gay for u use your Lords words to spread hate u think the Lord looks kindly on that 🤣🤣🤣
- +1 y
fundamentally spreading his word means following what the Bible says to do, it doesn’t even mean telling people what to do or what is a sin. This is why I don’t even deal with the Bible or people in that community anymore because they take the Bible and translate it into whatever fits their life better, many of them use it to create drama.

Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
You see that my friend u shall be going to the same place u believe the gays are going by your vary own book 👍🏽 - +1 y
@Deserter the Bible was written as a way to socially construct people into believing that there’s only one right way to live. It’s a social construct of what back then would consider a good person. Times have changed, and the Bible’s rules no longer fit the evolution of the world, and not only that the Bible has created massive amounts of terrible people.
- +1 y
@deserter the real question you should be asking is how can your fate even be determined before it happens? It’s like when I was younger my mom would tell me I would be arrested for keeping her inside car lights on. It was her using my childhood ignorance to dictate a behavior. That’s exactly what the Bible was designed for. It was designed for people to act a certain way in ignorance to how life is after death

Try again, boy

U are taking judge out of context u can judge someone's actions internally without berating them as what u do would push them away from christ so u would be doing thr devil's work for him
John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance
Or through respect of persons, and so as to please men, the Scribes and Pharisees; who had condemned the action of Christ, in curing the diseased man on the sabbath day, and sought to kill him for it:
but judge righteous judgment;
give your sense and judgment of things, according to the truth and evidence of them

The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong.
Again u are pulling scripture out of the bible out of context this is not referring to the commen man but referring to those in charge or that hold power I. e a ruler or those in authority you are neither - +1 y
Yes by calling out sin where u see fit is not your place again calling a gay person a sinner or telling them they will go hell won't get the to repent or to stop which should be your goal if u are a good Christian instead it will turn them away from the path in so damning them to satin so again u are doing the devil's work for him whilst claiming to be of God
- +1 y
I'm not and u know you can't answer because u are not equipped to have this conversation there are many way u could tackle talking to someone that u believe u could save from being gay because telling them u are gay u are going hell 100% wouldn't work so are u more botherd by them being gay or actually saving their soul
- +1 y
Lol you make it so obvious how sinful u are ur gaol is not to save gays its to bother them or to make them feel fear u do know wrath is also a sin how is it I a man that dont follow the path have more knowledge and understanding of your book then u when for me church was a chore I was forced to do upto teenage years
- +1 y
U are trying to challenge my reason why I'm arguing the point because u are not capable of challenging the point if u ain't able to tackle the issue that's fine but boiling down the argument to your bad faith or your manipulative just shows the lack of ability u have to explain why telling a gay man he is a sinner is to his or God's benefit
+1 yThat is actually debunked as a poor translation. The homophobia is a construction of the church.
Also if people actually listened to the Bible, men would be plucking their eyes out instead of staring at women.01 Reply
