Are we just dead forever?

our soul separates from our earthly body and we stand before God for judgement. We then enter heaven, Purgatory or hell.

Heaven is the ultimate end and fulfillment of the deepest human longings, the state of supreme, definitive happiness. Those who are free from all sin enter heaven immediately.

Purgatory is a place of purification, for those who die in a state of grace and friendship with God but who are not yet fully purified.

Hell is for those who have willingly chosen to reject God and his love. If we persist in a state of serious sin, we damn ourselves to hell.

I think life just goes on as normal but for the dead person their world is gone and they are gone forever unless that brain can be fixed as for how I know well I don't know that, that's what happens but all other religions scream of bullshit to me so what's left is this position

I believe that thinking without a brain is as unreasonable as digesting food without a stomach and intestines. I can't see how we can go on processing information without the organ that processes information. Why even have a brain at all if not for that reason? I think it would be great if we could live forever or have an eternity in an amazing place but I don't see how that is possible.
