There is one interpretation of the Torah that reads in Genesis "male and female He created him". This occurs before the creation of Eve. Old testament reads male and female he created them. Very interesting.. Reminds me of the article I read once (and posted about) where a woman decided to marry *herself* as nobody was good enough, she said. Although the real reason was she was getting older and no man thought she was worth giving a ring to.
