When I was little I thought about becoming a Nun (I don’t even know why I’m not even catholic 😂💀) but I just thought it seemed cool and mysterious.

When I went to the Vatican there were so many hot priests and nuns and I’m just like “ y’all are wasting quality stock” 😂

I live in a catholic country and I assure you there isn’t anything so cool living as a nun… you’re not going to live as a woman, you’re only an object in the hands of the Church. You won’t explore the pleasure and the intimacy, your only satisfaction is in the charity actions you do and in the praying. I mean, if you’re very charitable and religious, you can find your satisfaction, but I assure you they’re going to miss a big part of their lives… and some of them are bitchy old maids, that only judge others and complain on how immoral is the normal people.


On the other hand, they have their advantages, since they have free health care, free food, free home, don’t have to work at all except for charitable acts, ti why can access secrets of the Church normally inaccessible and they travel a lot when they go on missions.

What was really odd is that the Catholic Church of the time actually approved of the show, given its positive depictions of the nuns and lighthearted comedy. Sister Bertrille (a then very young Sally Field) could be relied upon to solve any problem that came her way by her ability to catch a passing breeze and fly.

This was generally attributed to her weighing under 90 pounds (41 kilograms), high winds at the Convent high on the ocean bluffs, and the large, heavily starched cornette that was the headpiece for her habit. (The cornette was based on one worn until the middle 1960s by the Daughters of Charity, although Sister Bertrille was never said to belong to that order. Indeed, the order which included the Convento San Tanco was never specified in the series.) Her flying talents caused as many problems as they solved. She explains her ability to fly by stating, "When lift plus thrust is greater than load plus drag, anything can fly."

This was also a reference to her previous TV show "Gidget", where Sally Field, as a short and petite woman, was seen as the "girl midget" or "Gidget".

My dad's girlfriend is a hypnotherapist. She did past life regressions on me, and I found out I was a nun in a past life. So, apparently it won't get you anywhere and the Buddha was correct.
