Do you believe in luck and miracles?

In the past I was laid off work right before Christmas. I told my wife I was going out to drop resumes off in a nearby larger city. She started a fight with me and I left.

Just my luck there's a blizzard that day. I’m on highway and the city is 40 min away on a good day. Road was horrible I swore to myself thinking I don’t want to drive in this. Took the next exit began driving a random direction wondering wtf I was going to do.

Approached an intersection and the way I wanted to go was closed I had to go a different way. Turn down some side streets I’ve never been before driving aimlessly out in the boonies and there's suddenly this big factory place I didn’t know was there. I pull up to the guard shack and ask about the place, it was a paper mill and they’re hiring 😳

I started few weeks later.

Had it not been for that freak one day blizzard I never would’ve ended up in that location.

Clearly there was a glitch in the matrix.

I ain’t superstitious, and luck is when good things coincidentally happen. Finding a four-leaf clover, wearing Hamsa, or not walking under a ladder won’t bring luck.

Miracles are things that are hard to explain by natural science, so I do believe in them.

I think it’s chance. Only happens enough to make some people believe it’s divine intervention. Odds of wishing something good to happen actually happen are low. Someone else would have to miss out, in balance fairness. Then it would be 50/50 chance of happiness, which considerably raises the odds of all happiness. Those levels just aren’t reality. lol 🤓

Luck and miracles aren't magic by modern definition.

Luck just means to succeed by chance and not due to anything you did (noy your own fault).

Similarly a miracle is just something extraordinary that happened that is not currently or can't be explained.

To not believe in Luck and miracles is to not believe in reality.

No.  But I am not 100% sure of whether there really IS such a thing as destiny or is it all just your choices bringing you to where you are currently, it's very hard to know with 100% certainty!

Work on something long enough, keep an eye open for opportunities, become an expert in what you want to achieve and opportunities tend to turn into successes. But luck and miracles I don't believe in.

That depends on what you mean by "miracles". Most of our lot in life is a matter of luck. There's no evidence that people who prayer or perform any other religious activity fare better than those who don't.
