Yes. Depending on how you view th spirit

Trauma causes the reptilian brain to be hyperactive/hypersensitive. The reptilian brain is the ground floor of your mental stack. It has a primary mode of function. Food, water, sex and shelter; friend or foe.

Your higher mental functions are build on top of the ground floor, so when trauma happens, it causes you to run downstairs and silence all the fire alarms... Which means you're no longer upstairs, where love, compassion, reason, philosophy, logic, order, health, humour etc exist. Everything that makes your personality what it is.

So if you compartmentalize your upper floor as your spiritual properties, then yes. Trauma wounds your spirit.

Yes it does. For me, I leave that at Cross. Firstly, Trauma is experienced when some stimulus (Threat) overcomes our ability to cope with the day-day living. it can feel like we have lost control of our soul, mind, and body. We all know the run or freeze reaction. We know like our brain 🧠 is moving slow motion. And our Spirit…that inner strength and mind’s eye has disappeared.
Yeah trauma affecting the Spirit is an understatement
