How do you understand the “daughters of Jerusalem,” verse in Songs of Songs?

The way I used to understand that verse was that G-d would guarantee you a high quality man if you accepted the wisdom, authority and teachings of your religious figures and divine beings. I have not been able to verify this view in conversation so far.

It seems to me that with Yeru Shalayim being plural, with a city on Earth, and a city reflecting it, backing it spiritually in Heaven, that the establishment of harmonious peace backed spiritually which the Hebrew national purpose is encompassing, is viewed as being seated in Yerushalayim. Depending on a person's beliefs regarding the current status of this, Hebrew national purpose, and how it has grafted into it now, those not of the Hebrew nation, but who are willing to abide by the stipulations of the Hebrew national deity, YeHoVaH, it may be that a daughter of Yerushalayim is in fact referring to any female human who espouses the calling and purpose of YeHoVaH for humanity, to reflect His heart, through flesh and blood beings, to the rest of the world, according to His stipulations. (Sorry for the tendency with me toward making run-on sentences. It's kind of a disability.)

I'm not familiar with the song but generally speaking, when we hear "Jerusalem" it's referring to building God's kingdom on earth rather than a reference to the actual city. For example, the English national anthem is "Jerusalem" but isn't about the city. Similarly all those place names with Salem in them are as shorthand for Jerusalem. Therefore I'd conclude "daughter of Jerusalem" simply meant a religious woman.
