Is it bad to fall asleep in church?

I like religious bible studies and even I have been to churches that bored me. I did not fall asleep but I felt I got very little out of the church event. The way I would explain it is I was watching a children's tv series with some infant children and I was very bored and my aunt says - "you get depressed when you watch it cause there isn't enough stimulation in the show but children aren't able to focus on too many things at once, so while you find it very boring, they find the tv series to be ideal for their mental and emotional state." It's like what interests a graduate student is not the same thing as what interests a pre schooler.

Not at all, in fact it probably aids the indoctrination. You absorb the sermon subconsciously while you're asleep.

As long as the preacher is teaching and preaching then you are good.
