Do you believe the bible explains why rich wives have such high divorce rates?

Hugh Jackman’s wife has never had a divorce and she does philanthropy work in her free time. These beauty queens that marry rich and spend their free time at spas and saunas usually all end up divorced or abused and lonely.

I think the Bible generally has a negative disposition towards money, especially if pursued. I take what seems to be the minority view in Christianity that Jesus' command to sell what you have and give to the poor in order to follow Him was not meant for only the rich young ruler.

My wife and I have a number of disagreements about money philosophically and spiritually but one of the reasons I love her as much as I do is because when we actually encounter people in need she demonstrates herself to be more naturally generous than I am.

I can't speak for other men but for myself a capacity for sincere generosity is very attractive. A woman who exclusively took advantage of what was given to her by her husband for her own comfort and pleasure would seem rather self-centered, especially if that man were wealthy.
