Do you believe in ghosts?

I went to view house today and it’s been vacant for the last 5 years. I did my research on the house. It had 1 owner from 2002 until he died in 2017 other than that I couldn’t find much history on the house besides the fact that it’s about 50 years old. The seller wasn’t even willing to share any information about the house with the realtor which I was a bit skeptical about. Not long after entering the house we started to hear a banging noise and it alarmed the 3 of us. My friend went to check it out and he couldn’t find anything. The realtor and I were in the garage and as we turned around to enter the door to go back in the house we saw and heard the door open up right in front of us by itself. We were both shocked… I didn’t feel scared though. I don’t really believe I’m ghosts… so I don't know what to make of it.

First of all we need to be clear about what we mean by a "ghost". People have different ideas in their minds of what a ghost is. Are they spirits of the dead people? If you mean that, I do believe in it, but according to my religion (Islam) and as far as I know, when people die, their spirits are sent to the other world where they are awarded for the good deeds they've done, or tortured for their sins. That is to say, they can have no such physical influence on our world as to moving physical objects, closing and opening doors and windows.

If by ghost, you mean an evil entity other than human spirits, there are references to creatures like that in Quran. We call them jinn. They are unseen creatures, who have decision-making powers, are able to reproduce, have social lives and relationships, and can be categorized into two groups, evil and righteous, just like human beings, and, therefore they are rewarded or punished for their actions in the hearafter. However Quran says that they have lower intellectual capacity compared to human beings. Satan is one of them. Unlike Christianity, Islam doesn't believe that Satan was a fallen angel. No, Satan is a jinn, belonging to their evil-doing category. Normally, these creatures aren't able to influence the the physical world around us, but we can let it happen by allowing them to enter our lives and enslave our souls. That's exactly what occultists and witches do, and witchcraft is all about this, trying to accomplish tasks by communicating with these evil entities of jinn and using their powers. There are lots of books about witchcraft, filled with the names of these entities and their special sigils and symbols as well as the specific rituals that can be done in order to summon them and request them to accomplish some tasks for us. So, it's your choice to let them in your life, but it's their choice to get out. You make one request from them, they make hundreds of evil requests in return, and if you don't obey, if you don't let them control you, they will start bothering you, you will start seeing things in your house, you catch peculiar diseases, you see displacement of objects, constantly losing things, they may even beat you up. It may sound absurd, but this is not limited to the Islamic ideology, witchcraft and communication with these entities existed even before Islam. We have all heard about haunted people and places, it might be rare, but I do believe that it exists. Your case might be a jinn, or it's just unreal hallucinations. It's really important tell them apart, hallucination or a real experience!!

No. Likely just drafts, air in pipes, something outside or structural faults/natural delapidation. Vermon tend to be more prevalent in places which have been unoccupied because they haven't been scared away.

I'm not saying any of those explanations are the correct one, but all are more likely than spooky ghosts. Whatever the actual explanation is will be too.

I wouldn't stay in that house. I do believe in ghosts, even though I've never "seen" one (and I don't want to).
There's an abandoned building in front of the building where I live. Recently my sister found out that there's a window that is always open while the others are always closed. She told me she saw a shadow but it also looked like an actual person. Then the window was closed and opened again. I can see the window from my bedroom and since then I avoid staring at it. We never know if there's a ghost there...

I believe there's weird things in the natural world that we can't explain, and that the supernatural exists. I don't believe the souls of those departed linger here in this plane of existence.

No. For me, it just doesn’t seem like a rational thing to believe in. I think some people tend to attribute things they don’t have an immediate explanation for to a supernatural cause.

Absolutely yes! I've had several experiences, one of which was when I had my alsation dog with me and I heard footsteps upstairs in our house. The dog started snarling and had his hackles up, but there was nothing to be found upstairs. That's only one instance of many!
