Can I believe in Jesus Christ without formal conversion to Christianity?

I am very attracted to certain aspects of Christianity especially the personality of Lord Jesus Christ. I need his ability to forgive all those who have wronged me. I feel like apart from my parents no one has ever loved me. But for certain social and legal reasons formal conversation is not an option. So can I believe in one god, and Jesus without formal conversion?

Sure you can.

I read the Bible, follow some of its principles, but don't attend church and profess agnostic.

There is a difference between being religious and having faith.

Many people are religious. Recently many fast to show worldwide that they are religious.

But we never know who have faith because it's a personal relationship between the person and his God.

Religious people has many rituals to show that they belong to the religion.

People with faith is a person in love with God in private. No showing off of any kind. Need no recognition by any man.

Hence my answer is yes.

I mean... I suppose it's possible... but then I'd ask why you wouldn't act on that belief, meaning convert, repent, and get baptized (assuming you weren't as a child).

The comparison I'd make is that this is like a guy appreciating a company and its founder, but not investing in it or working for it and still thinking he should reap the rewards and benefits.
