Can you be a believer and follower of Christ, as well as go to church and not consider yourself a Christian?

I believe in Gods word, I believe Jesus is the living son of God. I believe he was resurrected and his Holy Sprit ascended and his Grace and love is for us all but I don’t follow a religion. I put my faith and trust in God alone. I also go to a Baptist church and I listen to my pastor but I still don’t consider myself a Christian.

That's odd, you can be a christian but do not follow any religion but to say that you aren't christian is strange because you do believe in god and jesus and his teachings which means that you're a christian but do not follow a religion such as catholic or orthodox or evangelic... etc

Well because Christianity, from what I know, seems to follow man made rules of what they consider right or wrong more than they follow Christ and also, Jesus never said you had to be Christian to follow him, know him or have a relationship with him.

Well, I believe that’s just called being a believer that is being transformed and renewed by his teachings/words. Before the title Christian came to be, people still in their hearts believed him to be the son of God. Rather we choose to call ourselves Christian or A follower of Christ, the true desires of our hearts is how God truly knows and sees us as his children. Yes, by definition that’s what a Christian is but it all boils down to, do you truly believe? A title and the definition of it isn’t what God sees.
