Quite often there is more than one witness to their arrival, so it's unlikely that people see them because of (for example) flaws in perception, or brain disorders. I've seen one off those bastards run across my front lawn at 3 or 4 in the morning. I was in my garage smoking weed. I looked up and out the garage door and it was standing there next to a tree by the street, facing me. I stared it down and prepared for the worst. After about a second, it took off running. I could see arms and legs moving. It ran twards my neighbors backyard, completely silent and blacker than the blackest thing you ever saw. I never saw anything like that ever before or again, even when I was in enough acid to fry 4 people. It was terrifying. I sat there for a minute that seemed like forever, and then jumped up and went out to have a look. Thank God or angels or good ghosts or whatever was looking out for me that night because that thing ran away and didn't come back. I can't believe I had the guts to sit there and stare that thing down and prepare to fight, and not run for my fucking life.

@OfDeath apparently you know approximately jack about shit when it comes to drugs. I have been smoking weed for 30 years and it's never made me hallucinate. That incident was about 28 years ago and I was smoking low strength Mexican dirt weed. I've only seen weed cause psychosis in one person and that was a schizophrenic dude who was in and out of the looney bin. Stick to what you know, you're making yourself sound like an ignorant fool.

Interestingly, the phenomenon of not seeing something when you're looking at it is not without some merit. When performing night patrols or surveillance you're taught to scan with your vision just off center of the area of concern. Believe it or not, in low light conditions you'll see the person in the bushes sooner if you are NOT staring directly at the bush. Try it tonight if you can get somewhere without a lot of light polution. Also used by naked eye astronomers.

I never met one but I knew some people who have. Personally even shit I know isn't real like I get sleep paralysis figures in the dark, faces n shit yknow. That's enough I don't care if shadow people when awake are real or not, I'm not fucking around to find out.

Yes, 'Slapped Ham'! Quite often the allegedly mysterious events they present aren't really all that mysterious, and are easily explicable (and the explanation isn't supernatural).

I'd prefer not to, but unfortunately I've seen them before. Now that being said, that doesn't necessarily have to mean they're supernatural entities, they could be a figment of our brain, in my case caused by sleep paralysis. But they are very much real. I do like the Ancient Aliens theory too though, and I know others who've seen them
