Got a bullet hole in my pants. Hole in my leg from a different time. Got blown up once. Had a helmet strap shot through. Few guys came to work to kill me and my team a couple times. Got in a pretty bad car wreck in high school. Pronounced DOA by mistake. Broken front plate from a sniper round as I was pulling my armor over my head. There was this iffy time with a wolf. They said I was dying last year when I had a massive heart attack but I did not concur with that assessment. Grenade landed in my vehicle once but it was a dud. Took a hard landing in a chopper that got shot up once. Underside got all busted up and lost a rotor. Not sure if that counts as one or two. Guy tried to stab me in my chest once. Bad undertow at the beach pulled me out to the bad side of the pacific in baja del sur once. Held me under for a little longer than I'd like. Guy and his buddy tried to run me down with his car once in 09. Had a rifle pointed at me once but it jammed when ol' boy pulled the trigger. Buncha rando shootings but I don't really count most of them. Maybe three of em. Spent a little more time at a burning car once than I probably should have. Oh and I guess I was under a bridge once when a tornado passed over it. That could've gone south I figure. Good size croc snuck up on me in a river once. Thankfully neither of us really wanted it all that bad. Might have been an alligator. Don't remember the difference. That's probably it. Well a building collapsed around me one time but it was a small building and I'm not sure that really woulda been "near death" so much as "Near get f'ed up a little".

my closest one was going home from the city i'm in. (houston texas-back to silsbee texas) So instead of going back immediately, i hanged back in houston to... do whatever. Home was depressing. So i left around 7ish, had twenty minutes before i could civilization and go through a city I know there was a McDonalds. Then for 5 hours, we were stuck. Why? Did someone die?

Yes... someone, about 6 people died. Someone ran into oncoming traffic, breaking the wire barriers and coming into the other lane. That's why we had to wait because those people died and the mess wasn't over. I heard about it on the news and it really slapped me in the face how lucky I was- it could have been me. :c

side note, in an argument my mom said "You have all the time in the world!"... sure.
