I've just broken off a 3 year friendship with someone,. whom I thought was a great friend, Her being a Christian.
I have struggled my whole life with spirituality, and the amount of questions and the endless searching. She says she has been through similar.
But in the end, she was SO judgmental, that it was building up resentment in me, that when I try and confront her, she gaslights me, instantly and I haven't got time for that. Not anymore!! 💯
REAL friends, don't turn on one smother, just because they've fallen out!! 💯😡

A few months down the line, I thanked her for the role she played in my life, but she never said a word.

Because they view it as the only correct religion. So they mostly assume that everyone is Christian. The thought process of "how could you not be?"

Most of my life, I would visit certain Churches, but one Church confused me the most was the Full Gospel Assembly located in Charleroi PA, this one small person would be snappy / rude to me and my sister, her ex-boyfriend, all we did was go to the basement of the Church where we were invited, and that small person told us that we had to wait to other people of their Church had bake goods, and after she said that my sister and her ex-boyfriend we just left because we just felt so bad, but these things happen to people and I do believe we never went back to visit that Church.

I was raised Christian so I believe in it. But I don’t assume it’s the “correct” religion. I know a lot of smart people that are Christian’s but I’m sure there are lots of smart people that believe other religions. So I have no idea, but I just believe what I believe as taught. That being said, I’m open to other options.

They don't assume that. But even if they did; the Christians believe that their way of life is righteous (as per calling themselves "Christians"), so they hope others see the Christian way of life as something to aspire to.

Because most view their way as the only way. I live in a pretty religious area but oddly enough a lot of Christians have respected me as a metalhead and "witch" lmao but this isn't to say every christian is this way. If only it was..

In the US there's a belief system inside of many Christian churches that this is a "Christian" nation. So they assume that the majority of people they speak with are, themselves, Christian.
