Soo question for pro-life people what exact verse in the Bible says that a fetus is alive or mentions anything about abortion?

I come from a long religious family; members being more than just followers. For many many generations priests, bishops, etc. And so I am curious.

Pro lifers what exact verse says a fetus is alive or mentions anything like abortion.

The Bible is written very clearly, in black & white, and written so even someone nearly illiterate can understand it. It is not open for interpretation to make you feel better. It is a standard ideology, set in figurative stone, meant to highlight the expected normalities. You don't get to create make believe ideology because you think this or that, this is sinning by the way.

So kindly name the verse.

The truth is the Bible doesn´t talk about abortion it doesn´t even use the word fetus. Because fetus is the latin word for "offspring" since the Bible is written in Hebrew and Greek not Latin.

But there are verses like in Jeremiah 1,5: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. (ESV)

Or in Ps 139, 13: For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother´s womb. (ESV)

According to Gen 1,27 man is created in the image of God. (ESV)

These are three of the most commonly known verses that make clear that humans are created by God. The distinction between a human and a fetus is modern. So if you kill what´s created by God. You´re destroying something that God created. So that´s a sin then.

There is no verse I can come with that is pro abortion. Sure you can say that none of those verses are for today. But with the right interpretation I could say that about any verse one can find in the Bible even: God is love. (1 John 4,8, ESV). Jesus used what we call the "Old" Testament. He never ended or neglected the "Old" Testament as a matter of act it´s his Holy Scripture.

However there are far more verses in the Bible that says thou shall not judge, condemn, etc. others.

There are more than 100 verses about how judging or condemning others is a sin. Which is WHAT pro lifers do.

They condemn, judge, disciminate and harass those who decide to get an abortion and the vast majority of abortions are for child's health (disabled / severely disabled) or risk to mother... so they're not done lightly.

And at the most 5 VAGUE verses that could be approving pro life behavior.

So who is the sinner? Pro lifers of course. It is why the worst of their lot denote so heavily to the church hoping to buy their way into heaven & not be sent to the hells.

But isn't that comment of yours a judgement as well. Because if you can say who's a sinner with sincerity you make a judgement about that person. Only God is allowed to decide who's to live and who's to die. If you want to do something that's only God's right you sin. So the doctor that aborts sins.

So far as I'm aware, it doesn't. However, that settles exactly nothing.

For one thing, the word "fetus" is a Latin word, whereas the majority of the Old Testament would have been written in Hebrew and the New Testament would have been Hebrew and Greek (I would think Aramaic as well for the Old, but I could be mistaken).

For another, you have to consider that Jews of that day didn't think and speak about things the way that we do today. Case in point, whenever you traveled to Jerusalem, you always went "up" to Jerusalem, whether you were traveling from the north, south, east, or west.

So there's that. Then, you have verses like Jeremiah 1.5 which says "before I formed you in the womb, I knew you" and Psalm 139.13, which says "you knitted me together in my mother's womb." You also have Luke 1.44, which details Elizabeth telling Mary "at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ear, the child in my womb leaped for joy." Add in "Thou shalt not kill" and you have a not-so-subtle implication that abortion is evil and against God.

But even with all that in mind, if the standard of belief is what is in the Bible, then atheists and liberals will have as many problems, if not more than Christians who hold to "sola scriptura". The reason for this is that the notion of the Bible being the sole or even primary rule of faith is also not in the Bible. In fact, there is a handful of verses that imply exactly the opposite, that we are to appeal to the Church (Matthew 18.16, Matthew 16.19) and to hold to tradition (2 Thessalonians 2.15). So even if something is not explicitly stated in the Bible, that doesn't make it meaningless. If it's in continuity with teaching and tradition, then it is has justifications.

Are you talking about the judgement of an action or of a person's heart and soul? And then the next question I'd have to ask is whether an action or the condemnation of an action is worse.

And for the record, I've prayed outside abortion facilities before and I've seen harassment. In fact, I've even been harassed because I'd be praying the Rosary. And yes, the harassment was from other churches.

That said, I'd be curious to know what's vague about the verses I referenced here.

And I'd be curious to know where you get the idea that the majority of abortions are performed because the child would be disabled or otherwise unhealthy.

speaking of biology, when speaking about DOGS where no bias, the life starts with fertilization... according to biology lesson books. but lady caused bias isn't biology.
