Roman Catholicism is the original Church. "Orthodox" spun off from it, leaving the Roman church in the West and Orthodox in the East. Martin Luther spawned The Protestant Reformation, giving birth to the Lutherans, Anabaptists, Presbyterians, Methodists and Puritan and the Evangelical traditions. from which the scores of other Reformed denominations arose.

Episcopals are (I believe) a Heresy because it was formed by the King of England to evade bishopric authority and have multiple marriages.

A major difference between the Catholic and Reformed traditions is that Catholics believe the Church authorized The Bible and Reformationists believe that the Bible authorized The Church.
Over time, the Papacy and Bishop Councils were believed to have the authority to specify and revise doctrine. Reformationists believe all doctrine is found in the Bible.

Catholics are like a cult, and are mentioned in the Bible as the "whore of the church" and will be active in the last days with the return of the Roman Empire. For instance, Catholics consider the Pope as the head of the church, when it is Jesus. They consider Mary as a mediator between God and men and pray to her. (only pray to the Father in Jesus name) John 14:13 But only Jesus is the only mediator. 1Timothy 2:5 They confess their sins to a priest for forgiveness, when only God can do that 1 John 1:9 The Vatican has been behind a lot of horrible things, like priest molesting Choir boys, and killing babies that nuns have had by sex with priests.

Catholicism came long before protestants which came about 1400 or so years later with the protestant reformation and the eventual split with King Henry the VIII who wanted to divorce his wife and the Pope said no. Roman Catholicism is the original much more than a thousand years earlier. I won’t try and research a direct connection to orthodoxy as the ideas had to come from Catholicism.

@DubiousIntentions They are literally the original Christians. St Peter, Jesus’ rock, was the first Pope. If you are Protestant, you are part of a religion created by a king because he was mad the Pope would not give him a divorce so of course he would have issues with the Pope. He, King Henry VIII, went on to murder his wives, lock them up and divorce them. Six wives… evil.

Catholicism in no way came from the Bible which predated it by quite a bit. It is more like it is controlled by Satan. If the Vatican would ever open their records (which they won't for obvious reasons) than you would know how evil they are, such as murdering Indian children that lived in their schools after they were taken away from their parents. They will be judged harshly on Judgement day and tossed into the Lake of Fire. .

No, the Catholic church is not a protestant denomination. Catholicism predates the protestant reformation which began in the 15th century AD. The Roman catholic church was fully established by the end of the 4th century AD, predating the reformation by at least 1000 years and the orthodoxy wasn't established until at least 500 years after the catholic church was fully established. All of this falls under the umbrella of christians. Catholics are Christians - the oldest surviving form, protestants are Christians, orthodox, coptics etc are all Christians. You cannot remove these from christianity as a whole. Your poll makes no sense.
