Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 y'For maybe the past month I've been rapidly losing the desire to live for Christ.'
He died on the cross for you and went through unimaginable pain, distress, abuse, ridicule and taunting. He did all of that so you wouldn't have to. He did all of this for your sins as a Father would give his life for a child that he loved to save them.
'Haven't read my Bible, haven't prayed, been listening to more secular music than Christian music.'
Matthew 4:4
“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
When you do not feed the soul, you grow hungry. You don't even need to read much, just a little each day. Look at what most people your age are doing and the music that they listen to. Are they truly content? are they at peace? balanced? happy? fruitful and grounded? But more importantly are they saved?
When you listen to secular music you are inviting demons into yourself and environment. God's angels can only respond to God's word, but Satan's demons can only respond to Satan's word. In fact, some that create secular music have covenants with the Devil, particularly the prisons. When you invite demons into you, they can stay with you for your entire life. I should know... I 'accidentally' cast 3x demons out from a 49 year old woman when quoting scripture to her. She fell to the floor and started making a noise that was not her voice and all of this snot started coming from her nose. The demons responded to the other scripture I continued to preach (louder) and each demon had a slightly different sound when they left. The first one sounded much angrier and the others weaker.
'I don't know what caused all of this to start happening but it did.'
Simply listening to Satan's music is enough to cause this.
'I just kinda wanna live my own way and go my own path but I'm scared of doing that and know it's wrong.'
Adam and Eve wanted that too...
I don't go to Church, but I read the Bible, I study scripture. I try to bring others to His Kingdom. I help out Ministries in other ways and I help spread the Gospel. He knows our hearts. I'm sure he would love it if I went to Church, but just the same. I'm sure He would be happier if you had a personal relationship with Him Vs not having one and going to Church and seeing it as a chore.
What you need to do is to grow your faith, remember Who God is, how He sees you, what He did for you and what you are up against when you are not living under His protection.
One of the key things people forget is the following:
Romans 10:17
'So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.'
If you are not confessing / reading out loud the Word of God daily and allowing it to get into your heart, then it is very easy for your Faith levels to drop. If you were not reading the Bible out loud the same can happen. This is what I recommend to rectify this and get back on the right path. Purchase all or some of the following books and read as much out loud as you can daily. Your faith levels will grow and you will find yourself getting back on track. Many do not want to live for God... but they forget that without Him, they wouldn't even be living...
1) Powerful Bible Scriptures on Healing by Alicia Grant.
2) Scripture Confessions Gift Collection: Life-Changing Words of Faith for Every Day Leather Bound by Keith Provance.
3) Healing Scriptures by Kenneth E. Hagin.
4) Bible Scriptures To Combat The Spirit of Depression by Alicia Grant. You can also source a KJV Study Bible in color which is more interesting to read. I also recommend you get a KJV Audio Bible to listen to while going to sleep or during the day.
Also see the following scripture. Some don't realize the importance and gravity of it:
Romans 10:9
'That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.'
Thus if you confess out loud that Jesus Christ is your personal Lord and Savior, that He died on the cross for your sins and that God raised Him from the dead then you are saved (providing you truly believe this from the heart).

+1 yI read some of the comments you posted and it doesn't really seem like you have found your own belief in or relationship with God, but is doing what was merely taught to you and now you're at that age where the shelter put over you is starting to crack.. You weren't doing it because you believed in Christianity itself, but believed the people who taught you.. Probably never put much thought into it.. The best way is to find some and tell them about your struggles.. There's people on YouTube who can possibly help you with the faith that you want.

+1 yThanks for sharing. Pray, the father is nearer than you think. In him you live, move and have your being. Tell him about your apathy, your thoughts and feelings and ask him to mold you. You're mere clay in the hands of the Potter. Confide in A Godly person you trust such as your pastor and try to be honestly vulnerable

+1 ythat change does not need repairs. you do more than enough.
just change expectations go once a month, that is still regularly.
secular music is not a sin enjoy films and music and whatever teen pop.
set a goal to read stories of book matthew for ten minutes once a week, or one column of text, make a chart and check mark and see you do study regularly.
00 Reply I don't think it's wrong to want to go your own path. I stopped being a Christian before I was your age & I've been okay. Just because I don't identify with the religion anymore doesn't mean I can't still share principles or certain values.

Good point! But I still enjoy going to church, youth groups and reading my Bible. I just don't believe 100% I had an experience with two girls at my school that really had me thinking 😅 I listen to the artist Doja Cat after she made a song with demons In her music video... I just like the music and someone is considering ending the friendship over this?

Jesus walking on water, I semi doubt the resurrection, virgin birth. I believe in some of the miracles but the reason I still hold on to this is because of tradition, a little bit of hope, and I think some of the stories are good teachings.

Oh okay, that makes sense. You're a more practical person like me then. At a certain age I just stopped believing in the supernatural aspect. But to this day, I can agree that there are many good moral teachings in the bible. Teachings that were borrowed from very smart philosophers of earlier times.

Yeahh but I still believe in a higher power. I just don't think it'd have anything to do with religions. Some more like the universe itself 🤷🏾♀️

Now this is something that I'm more agnostic/undecided on. I don't have enough data to actually be able to form well-grounded conclusions on what I feel the nature of God is. It will always just be speculation for me. Maybe a wishing that is never meant to be granted. A mystery never meant to be known. Or maybe it will always be paradoxical for us because we're lacking essential ways of interpreting it. Like a computer program trying to understand what walking feels like. Maybe there are senses we will never have.
At my core, I'm agnostic. But I like to say I'm an "agnostic-atheist" because of religious people. Their popularity of their conclusions force me to address them. So I'm only atheist in response to religion. - +1 y
but the asker WANTED to repair.
not decide to believe atheism ism faith. - +1 y
@strateguy632 - True but I'm just giving my perspective & opinions. Never know, it may help! Sometimes things can't always be repaired fully. Sometimes a new age of thought is inevitable. For instance, when I was her age, if I didn't have someone critical around me, I'd probably think I was an atheist for a long time. But since I did, I was able to discover that I was agnostic very early on. It might not be her view, sure, but it's not my goal to convert, I'm just here to provide certain secular ways of thinking that may be reassuring.

@strateguy632 over 2/3 of the world's population are not Christians or Catholics and have never read the Bible. Plenty of them are still good people
I don't know what rules your talk about. For me I try to do things the right way. I thank God for my blessings and I thank Jesus for forgiving my mess ups. These things keep me happy

God is not just of the Christians you know. If it were then he would have destroyed all the other nations
