We don't do that here, except for Mexicans, some of them. But my mom made an altar for my dead grandmother in one of our bedrooms that she turned into a shrine devoted to her. She was irked that she couldn't go to mass or my grandma's grave, and she always hates that American people don't celebrate this holiday

Yes. I went to High Mass in the evening and then posted a MyTake on the Communion of Saints.

I would like to have grilled a steak for dinner to celebrate, but I didn't have time.

I personally don't but I wished it to someone. I think it's alright to pray to God for good people. They can't help us but thinking about them and praying for them is important too
