No judgement on them other than to say that what separates christians from Mormons is the same as what separates Judaism from samaritism, what separates Christianity from Judaism, what separates Islam from Christianity and what separates Mormonism from Christianity. Muslims aren't claiming to be Christians. There are a huge number of christian churches but the tenets of their religion are the same only differing in doctrine and practice. Trust me I'm not talking out of my hat. Also the phrase talking out of your hat comes from Joseph Smith and other Mormon prophets talking to God through their hats.
