Do you identify as a Christian?

I'm curious about how many people on this site is apart of my religion. Also, I know that many people in my religion often say: "It is not a religion, it is a relationship". I want you to know that I think it is both. But for the sake of this secular website which has people from various religions, I'm calling it a religion.

I'm not sure what I believe. I believe there's a god, but I believe there's more to it. The universe is huge, and there has to be more out there. There may even be multiple gods. There are so many different versions of the bible out there, and it sucks that some of the sections were taken out because people disagreed with them. I could say I identify as somewhere in between atheist and a Christian.

My mind ponders a little too much. The one thing I always wonder about is it wasn't discovered how babies are made until sometime in the late 1800s, so how would the Virgin Mary know her conception was without sex if people didn't know babies came from sex? (Yeah, people who are deep into Christianity often get offended by my curiosity!)

different "versions" literally means TRANSLATIONS. r. s. v. is a translation n. i. v. is a translation kjv is a translation they dont have DIFFERENT versions of the content just different translation

1800s was discoverdd DETAILS of genetics but ancient books have called male seed "seed" due to pregnancy after it. they knew even ancient.

They go to church to exercise their relationship with good, but they don't follow a religion because it's man-made and written and altered by men. They believe in god and have a relationship with god, but they don't want to anchor themselves to a religion they don't know has been altered in any way. So yes, for them, it is a relationship.

I am agnostic. I believe in a higher being, but I don't know what it is if it is what people tell me it is.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

I'm an atheist who identifies as Christian. I don't believe in the god stuff but I've a closer affinity with that way of life than I do other religions. I'm probably a better Christian than most real ones.

No. I was raised Christmas but never really believed it. By 11 I definitely did not believe it.

@strateguy632 A decision is a choice -- I choose not to attend religious services. We don't decide what we believe to be true -- we conclude that something likely is true or is not based on the evidence presented. Different people have different standards of evidence. For some "lots of people say it's true and it's here in this book that they are all telling me is true" is evidence. Others like demand more than local opinion and old myths.
