when i first was deciding if i should join christianity or not i went to church weekly to see what they taught and that caused me to read the bible more. now i rarely read it. unless i am checking a topic or someone else reminded me of an idea in bible. then i will study again.

No. What for? I read Genesis about a decade ago just to see where Cain & Able found girlfriends. It never said anything about that. They just went walking through the woods, one day, and girls just fell out of the trees. If I'm not gonna get the whole story, why bother reading it? Jesus was born and, the next thing we know, he's 20-something years old, a carpenter and loads of people hate him and kill him!
