I was quite a late developer mentally. So when I was a child, say up to 6 or 7 years old, I wholeheartedly believed a god existed who could see and hear what you were doing etc. I also believed there was a devil with similar abilities. One ridiculous thing I remember doing was looking at the ground and being afraid of it because I thought the devil was under there, just waiting to pull me down. Mirthfully, I wouldn’t even dig a hole in my parent’s backyard too deep for fear I would open a portal to Hell!
So it’s safe to say I wasn’t exactly the brightest of sparks. I snapped out of it and got a hold of myself when I was about 15 or 16. Now I’m an atheist.
