Masturbation [Note: The author treats this subject at length in Testimonies for the Church 2:346-353, 480-482, and the out-of-print pamphlet an Appeal to Mothers (1864). See Child Guidance, Section XVII, "Preserving Moral Integrity," Patriarchs and Prophets, 439-468, for a comprehensive coverage of the subject drawn from all published and unpublished sources.—Compilers.]—Youth and children of both sexes engage in moral pollution [masturbation] and practice this disgusting, soul-and-body-destroying vice.
Many professed Christians are so benumbed by the same practice that their moral sensibilities cannot be aroused to understand that it is sin, and that if continued its sure results will be utter shipwreck of body and mind. Man, the noblest being upon the earth, formed in the image of God, transforms himself into a beast! He makes himself gross and corrupt.
Every Christian will have to learn to restrain his passions and be controlled by principle. Unless he does this, he is unworthy of the Christian name.
Some who make high profession do not understand the sin of self-abuse and its sure results. Long-established habit has blinded their understanding. They do not realize the exceeding sinfulness of this degrading sin, which is enervating the system and destroying their brain nerve power.
Moral principle is exceedingly weak when it conflicts with established habit. Solemn messages from heaven cannot forcibly impress the heart that is not fortified against the indulgence of this degrading vice. The sensitive nerves of the brain have lost their healthy tone by morbid excitation to gratify an unnatural desire for sensual indulgence. The brain nerves which communicate with the entire system are the only medium through which Heaven can communicate to man and affect his inmost life.
Whatever disturbs the circulation of the electric currents in the nervous system lessens the strength of the vital powers, and the result is a deadening of the sensibilities of the mind.—Testimonies for the Church 2:347 (1870). 1MCP 230.1 - 1MCP 230.6re-state://background_color_rgba (0, 0, 0, 0), font_color_rgb (77, 77, 77), justifyLeft07 Reply- +1 y
For example in another post you vehemently attacked the Catholic church. Being that you worship Ellen G. White as the word of God on the level of Jesus in the Catholic church, put Satan and Jesus next to the father in heaven, portray the father as a merciless tyrant, portray Jesus as a spineless wimp with tainted blood that polluted heaven, compare Satan and Jesus to two angles next to God Satan being the jealous one and Jesus basically being a loser that got lucky, rather than Jesus being the word of God in the flesh inseparable from God in nature, you think Satan will save you from your sins acting as he acts as the scapegoat, while all other Christians that worship Jesus are left in front of a Satanic illusion of Jesus as Satan breath on them while you and your people go to the real holly place, you believe the Father, Jesus, and the Holly Spirit are 3 different persons that talk to one another like a family, yet they are not equal, so on and so forth, you hating the Christian triune God as well as Christian institutions and pushing certain narratives makes sense...

At any rate I can give you a link to catholic Catechism that states in their own words that they changed the sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, then there's the deletion of the 2nd commandment and splitting the 10th into 2.
Revelation 22:18-19
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
I'm related to Catholics who would not and will not read the bible. - +1 y
"Being that you worship Ellen G. White as the word of God on the level of Jesus in the Catholic church,"
-no, more on the level with the other prophets in the bible. She herself didn't call herself a prophet, she wouldn't have been meek and humble if she did
"put Satan and Jesus next to the father in heaven,"
-No, not exactly. He "was" next to the Father in heaven, it's not just sda its Christianity.
Revelation 12:7-9
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
"portray the father as a merciless tyrant, portray Jesus as a spineless wimp with tainted blood that polluted heaven,
-No idea where you got that one.
"compare Satan and Jesus to two angles next to God Satan being the jealous one and Jesus basically being a loser that got lucky, "
-Which 2 angels?
"rather than Jesus being the word of God in the flesh inseparable from God in nature, you think Satan will save you from your sins acting as he acts as the scapegoat,"
-Not in Christianity in general
"while all other Christians that worship Jesus are left in front of a Satanic illusion of Jesus as Satan breath on them while you and your people go to the real holly place,"
-Never heard of that in my life.
"you believe the Father, Jesus, and the Holly Spirit are 3 different persons that talk to one another like a family, yet they are not equal,"
-They are equal!
so on and so forth, you hating the Christian triune God as well as Christian institutions and pushing certain narratives makes sense...
-Don't know where you got your demented view points from

I’m not aware of anywhere in Christian doctrine where masturbation is explicitly mentioned. That said, Christian teaching do state you should not be covetous or rapacious, that you should not be lustful, or be a filthy talker, or have a lofty eye because that sort of behavior tends to lead to adultery. So for example, if you see someone’s partner and think they are hot and want them for yourself and are rubbing one out over it, then that’s amoral. Sexual amorality is forbidden. Between the Bible and the Didache, that tends to cover everything from adultery, to pederasty, homosexuality, bestiality, incest, rape, fornication, and murder of children by abortion of the unborn or murder of children that have been born (not sexual in nature but part of sexual reproduction). The Bible outlines marriage between an adult man and an adult woman and expects you to marry before you have sexual intercourse. I suppose you can interpret being lustful or covetous as masturbation, but my general understanding of lecherous behavior is having a strong sexual desire and then acting on it. So I don’t interpret masturbation that way. From my perspective , it would seem you need to be trying to involve others in the act, that is to act on it and draw others in which can lead to unmarried sex, adultery, etc. which can causes harm to others by breaking up marriages, women bearing other men’s children, pregnant daughters that become single mothers, so on and so forth… If you aren’t bring harm on others, and spiraling into evil thoughts then you seem to be in the clear, but I’m no theologian.

I see someone talking about "male seed" below... I assume they are referring to Genesis 38:9 about Onan who used the pull out method to spill male seed... If you examine the context of the verse, you’d understand that Onan’s older brother Er, the family heir had died childless. Onan being second in line was asked to have a temporary sexual relationship with Tamar a widow of Er to grant her children. The children of the widow would legally be considered his older brother’s line, thus receiving an inheritance and the family name, which would be used to care for the widow as she grew old and frail. But Onan refused to granter her a child, and even though he had sexual intercourse with her lustfully, he would pull out to deny her children. He didn’t want the children to be considered his brother’s and he didn’t want Tamar to receive an inheritance. He wanted to leave her for dead, even though he had no problem having sex with her. His behavior was evil spirited and selfish… It’s not about masturbation so to speak but I guess some people take it out of context...

As with many things it depends on your view of the religion.
There is never any explicit statement forbidding masturbation in the bible. There are comments about debauchery, about not being ruled by baser instincts or pleasure, even about the need to wash after sexual acts. But there is never anything that says self-pleasuee is bad.
Now within Christian culture and norms? Its frowned upon. No sin, lest all would be sinners. But frowned upon. USA is of course the most against it.
As far as the books itself go, no problems.
As far as the believers go, some problems.04 Reply- +1 y
oh yes there is! but maybe christian is free from old testament

the word onanism, god punished onan in book genesis 38, 8-10 "onan did evil in the eye of the lord". well known, not an addition.

... You're trolling me surely. To be blunt Onan was told to fuck his brother's wife after marrying her and pulled out. He was then punished for not fulfilling his duty as a husband. It is dead to rights stated what he did and why things happened.
Your example of the bible taking a stance against masturbation is a story of god punishing a guy for not coming inside a woman? Which in itself was not the crime but his reluctance to fulfill his expectations as a husband were.
Mate. It is UNIVERSALLY, by every version of christianity, agreed to have nothing to do with masturbation. There is nada, none, zero people who hold your view on this. If you genuinely believed this I am glad to have educated you but the bible has no problems with masturbation. Church? Some. Americans? Plenty. Other Christians? Some. Bible? None.
