They're kinda like Christians. Most of them barely know anything about their religion and it's more about the community than anything. Only jews put super emphasis on the community aspect, even the Hasidics. The Hasidics are really the only interesting ones to talk about.
They wear black coats and once married, the woman wear wigs so not to flaunt their beauty to other men. Marriages are largely the choice of the individuals, (I'm sure this changes a bit for families who are influential within a community) but a rabbi usually suggests who your partner should be. The process involves interviewing everyone of marrying age (and keep in mind, the rabbi has usually known these people since they were small children) and then tells both of his suggestion. It's up to them to act on it but it's my understanding he will set up the first date if requested by the man and accepted by the woman
Around where I live, many Hasidics smoke cigarettes, weed and do hard drugs lmao and it's been my experience they all know how to party. Like really party with or without the drugs.
Many of the rich families are in construction but most of them don't seem to know anything about construction... If the Italians could get away with it, why not them 🤷🏽♂️
Now down to the uncomfortable stuff. They're all extremely weird, except for the very rich ones who actually are legitimately conducting business to make money. As in not just taking a job a family member gave them.
When I say weird, I mean first of all they speak Yiddish so their accent is a little funny, but they also don't seem to pick up on social ques very well except they are very squeamish people. Meaning they get fearful easily. Almost anyone in that community over 35 probably has a somewhat close relationship with a halocaust survivor.
They are also a little clumsy. Over the course of my time working with them, I learned to anticipate drinks almost spilling onto expensive shit, people tripping over nothing in small spaces, people losing balance seemingly randomly... Also in rooms filled with really expensive shit. 😂
Don't get me wrong, the one time something happened, he was very apologetic and wanted to pay to replace the equipment with something better. I've gotten to know them as extremely kind, empathetic well intentioned people. And definitely protected by God because that amount of clumsiness not getting them into more trouble baffles me.

I've known quite a few. Some of my best friends ever were Jewish and I'm still in touch with a couple. I also have some more recent good friends who are Jewish.
Some particular people I have respected most in my life and treasured as friends were Jewish. They were my parent's generation and have passed away, however.
I just consider Jews to be regular people. Some are super cool and some are ass holes.
The more I have learned over the years, the more I have come to realize that Zionist ideology is evil. And I hate Israel. But many Jews do, too.
I think they're cool. I had Jewish neighbors. It was a couple (husband and wife) with three kids. They were like a normal family to me. They had a daughter who was the eldest, a son who was the middle kid, and the youngest was another girl. The boy, who was around my age, was a little wild and would make innapropriate sexual innuendos and jokes, but I didn't really mind it because it was at their house when he did that when I hung out with the family. The eldest girl seemed the more matured obviously. I think she was like a year and a half to two years older than me if I can recall. The youngest girl had beautiful yellow-green eyes (I think you call them Hazel) with light brown hair. I think she was two to four years younger than me. They moved away though in 2001. Last time I saw them was in 2006. The youngest was a gorgeous young lady. They're probably married with children by now. Lovely family.
Well I like Seth Rogan and other Jewish actors. I did know one Jewish girl in high school she was friends with my friend but she was a bitch and I didn't like her. She used to get teased a lot because she was the only Jewish person in school. I never stuck up for her because like I said she was a bitch and I used to laugh at the petty jew jokes the guys would make. She eventually transferred to a different school which was probably for the best because my high school was a delinquent one so people were a lot meaner/violent than the other high schools.

Both my sister and I (white protestants) had Jewish friends growing up. Antisemitism never really made sense to me since they seemed so "normal".
Since then I've been friends or acquaintances with several others that I know of, including my step-mother and -sister (who I did not grow up with but have dined/holidayed/hung out with many times).
I don't really think anything about them as a collective. To me they're just... people.
No comment on the nation of Israel or the current conflict. That's a whole different animal.
Some of nicest, smartest, most helpful people I have ever met have been Jewish. Also some of the nastiest, most neurotic, manipulative bad faith assholes. There does seem to be a way about them that is distinct, whether for good or bad. I can usually tell very quickly if someone if Jewish. It elicits neither affinity nor animosity in me. Its just something I am aware of.
they are no different than anyone else.
They have a heart, a brain, arms, legs, all of the body parts just like you and I and other people have.
My brother-in-law is Jewish, my niece and nephew were raised Jewish, I grew up around many Jewish people and I fail to see that they are any different than anyone else.I am a jew by birth as is a couple friends of mine. None of us practice or participate. Have known a few practicing Jewish people and they are alright. I prefer straight forward people and they are straight forward
Lol, the same as any other person: most are cool some are shitty. They throw great parties and if you're lucky enough to be invited to a Passover seder, definitely attend but be sure to skip the Gefilte (trust me).
I'm American, so largely we don't care what your religion is. The ones I know... same as everything else. Get some good ones and bad ones.
I know a lot if Jewish people I was in the clothing business where there were lots of them and the town I grew up in had a large Jewish population. They have about the same percentage of assholes as the general population
They created most of modern physics, almost all of "The Great American Songbook", most of the US movie industry, a large portion of classical America Comedy. I've know many, none famous.
I was raised in an upscale neighborhood that was WASPy and Jewish. The people just seemed like Greeks or Polish to me. They attended a different church, but so did the Greeks.
Yes, I have met Jews before, they are beautiful people among them, I would never judge a person based on her religion, her character is important to me.
Yes. They way they all claim not to be religious reminds me too much of christian nationalists claiming they aren't christian.
my current boyfriend is jewish
he is a honest caring person
so far never felt any major difference or a thing that screamed jewish in his behaviour
Let's see, my home town has roughly 99,009 people in the city limits. 64,660 of them are Jews. There are 16 synagogues... What do you think?
I love Jewish women, because in my experience, they're often very spoiled and demanding, which is ideal for me.
They are very smart and close knitted people. They are about owning and earning large sums of money.
The hell I did! We run them people out in ought-five, in the great Hannuk Not fest. Just joking I am acquainted with a few. there's actually some pockets of Jews, certain Asians, etc in north Texas and Houston.
known a few but they are jewish by name, don't practice. don't know ones that practice.
Did you know that Jesus Christ is Jewish? I think Jesus is the man! He's the best!
