I’m altering my wardrobe. Getting rid of all my sexy clothes. How does a woman stay modest each season, with a curvy figure, in a way that is pleasing to God, without being frumpy? I’m not seeking jokes on this one occasion, or answers from atheists.
+1 yI am a fairly modest dresser as a personal preference.
A-line dresses are almost universally flattering without being way too cinched.
Depending on your body type, maybe high waisted jeans.
Maybe scarves or a cropped jacket when wearing a more low-cut top.
I think a tailored knee-length pea coat in winter looks amazing. Pair that with some boots and a dress with leggings/tights for the legs. Leg warmers are trendy now I guess!
It’s hard to say for sure without knowing your body type and personal preference but this is a start10 Reply

You may need to go into a store and try on some clothes to get the look you want. You have to find top that fit not too tight but not too loose because will loose shape and look frumpy. Denim jacket are great and look good with dresses and you can still do a skinny Jean for a tailored look just make sure the to is the right fit and length. There are so many options out there for you.

u +1 yYou should browse a website called Betty Hannah. It was started by a traditional Catholic woman specifically for this purpose. The dresses there are quite lovely, elegant, and yes, modest.
Also, here's a discussion on Christian modesty that you might also find helpful...

+1 yYou don’t have to get rid of all your sexy clothes. Just losing the ones that are kinda trashy might not be a bad idea. Where you live heavily impacts what you can wear, but if you’re in a temperate or cool climate you can absolutely kill it with a pair of fit jeans, tank top and jacket.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yFinding a balance between dressing well and dressing modestly as a Christian woman can be achieved by prioritizing clothing choices that align with your personal values and beliefs while still allowing you to express yourself stylishly. Here are some tips to help you achieve this balance:
1. Know your personal standards: Take time to reflect on what modesty means to you personally and establish your own guidelines for dressing modestly. This might involve considering factors such as the level of coverage, fit, and style that you feel comfortable with.
2. Choose clothing that flatters your figure: Look for pieces that fit well and accentuate your features without being overly revealing. Opt for styles that are tailored and modest yet still fashionable and flattering.
3. Focus on quality over quantity: Invest in well-made clothing pieces that are versatile and timeless, allowing you to create stylish outfits while maintaining modesty. Quality garments tend to last longer and can be mixed and matched in various ways.
4. Pay attention to fabric and construction: Select fabrics that are not see-through or overly clingy, as they can compromise modesty. Additionally, prioritize clothing items with appropriate construction, such as higher necklines, longer hemlines, and sleeves if desired.
5. Layer strategically: Use layering techniques to add interest to your outfits while maintaining modesty. For example, pair a sleeveless dress with a cardigan or blazer, or wear a camisole under a sheer blouse for added coverage.
6. Embrace modest fashion trends: Stay updated on modest fashion trends and incorporate them into your wardrobe. There are many stylish options available that prioritize modesty, including midi skirts, maxi dresses, high-waisted pants, and flowy tops.
7. Consider the context: Keep in mind the specific occasions and settings you'll be dressing for, and choose outfits accordingly. What may be appropriate for casual wear might not be suitable for more formal or professional settings.
8. Be confident in your choices: Confidence is key to feeling good in whatever you wear. Choose clothing that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and true to yourself, regardless of current trends or societal pressures.
By following these guidelines and staying true to your personal values, you can successfully achieve a balance between dressing well and dressing modestly as a Christian woman. Remember that modesty is a journey, and it's okay to experiment and adjust your style preferences as you continue to grow and evolve.10 Reply- 4.3K opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic.
+1 yit depends how far. some dress like nuns in a loose tent can't see any shape.
the idea of modest is covering skin that is commonly covered, like no "low cut neck" but short sleeves is common in spring. again not a "tight sweater" that stretches top part and shapes ribs lower, just common shirts.
some fashion make the shirt circumference too precise, so modest is "not tight" for shirt or shorts. get the colors you like and check transparency.
pants shouldn't be tight. but even shorts are common in the west.

+1 yJust look nice without looking like a hoe. Girl tight jeans, tight shirts, small earrings if you want (studs or medium sized hoops. Nothing too expensive or too dangly). You want to limit how much skin you show. If you want to wear a shirt showing off your belly button, then make sure the rest of you is covered; no cleavage showing. If you want to wear a shirt showing a little cleavage, then cover the tummy. If you want to wear booty shorts in the summer, then cover your tummy and cleavage. The only time you should be dressing expensive is in moderation; like going out to a really nice restaurant with your spouse every now and then.

If you don't want to show any skin at all, that's fine. A pretty face is more valuable anyway. Just please stay the hell away from turtlenecks.

And make sure your tight jeans don't look like your ass has been painted blue. I see some girls with REALLYYYY tight jeans that just come off slutty.
+1 yI personally enjoy loose fitting dresses and blouses, something that comes in at the waist and the flows outward. If I feel a dress is too short, I wear leggings. Too much cleavage? Nothing a safety pin or a nice camisole can’t fix! In summer time I’ll pair a sleeveless shirt with a kimono to cover my arms and shoulders. Just have fun finding your style!

+1 yYes it's very much possible my preference is same. I always wear modest clothes only but with elegant look.
Dress should be neat and clean ironed, no need to show skin to look beautiful. Elegant look is mostly non showing skin. Much showing skin downgrade the look it look like some desperate kind. I use scarf , stalls, nice jewelries. I select the dress design and patterns and colour which is elegant lookwise.
Using such kind tricks you can do so11 Reply- +1 y

+1 yI'm a modest woman who always dresses elegantly. To dress well doesn't mean showing skin. I never show my skin and always get compliments from strangers. You can still be pretty stylish without showing your skin at all.

+1 yyes, just avoid "costly" garments and flashy luxury necklaces etc. as well as low cut v- necks then almost anything stylish is fine.
