I see it as God is, not that God is a scam.

God does not guarntee we live eternally in this world... even Jesus said you will have many sufferings here... He sure did... and he was really good to people. Jesus said this world is corrupted... came to give us life back that we'd have it more abundately, in love.

So the real answer is... did we love those peoples whom died or suffering fully? That means more.

We are certainly screwing up all over the place... our fear, insecurity, selfishness gets the best of us very quickly. Religious right can be the worst at times, the left as well and all others.

We are fragile beings... here temporarily. We don't get to keep anything.

The issue becomes if there is no God in us.. we become what matters most... selfishess... and the bad emotions we all don't like start to resonate, and goes downhill from there.

Religion is responsible for more bloodshed than all other sources of war and bloodshed combined. So I would say those who believe in a deity are more likely to utilize violence than those that don't. And those that don't who do utilize violence are very quick to explain precisely why they used it. All in all it is funny how religious justifications for violence are typically accepted however those without a religion to blame their violence on are typical judged for being violent regardless of if it was justified or not. As for if God exists why would he? Likely cause he doesn't care enough. To a deity we would be ants we don't pay attention to ants. Why would a deity pay attention to us.

If you belive in God, which I don't really do, then there's an important distinction to make. Life is not about living long or being successful but about living as a good person.

That said, I can count the amount of people genuinely following the bible on a single hand. You got a bank account? You're not a good believer anymore. Own and rent our a property? You're basically the devil.

So suffice it to say that taking the good book seriously isn't common even among believers.
