Atheism was founded as the cult of reason during the French revolution with the direct goal of the destruction of Christianity. Atheists goal is to dethrone God and become God in their own mind much like Lucifer wants to do. So if a Christian were to date an atheist, it would be kind of foolish, being that the atheist aim is to basically destroy the Christian. You'd have to be some sort of masochist to be into that sort of shit.
In contrast Islam was also created specifically to try to destroy Christianity. Their Allah is Satan. Their Muhammad is dead an in hell. Muslims are slaves of Allah (Satan), and the goal of Satan is to destroy God. In the highest academic and spiritual circles of Islam, mystic Sufism is taught and practiced. In Sufi texts they specifically make reference to their Gnostic beliefs and rituals and their strong roots in freemasonry where God is a lesser vengeful and angry evil being and Lucifer is elevated to the all powerful. The Muslims have fought in religious wars against the Christians and Jews since their beginning with the aim of conquering God and forcing the world to kneel to Lucifer. Thus Muslims and Atheists have the same central religious foundation, but have different ritual practices.
Not a deal breaker for me if they are still a good person.
You're welcome!
I guess maybe it depends on what they believe in and stuff. I might be interested in how different things are for them. I would just hope they'd accept Christmas & Easter gifts at least if I made any for them. I just wouldn't ask them to come to church and that'd be it.
There is a clear commandment against it.
@Miristheiss on the holiday gift thing? Or something else?
A Christian being unequally yoked with unbelievers.
Christians are not to date/marry unbelievers.
As long as they respect my religion and understand if we have children I will teach them my religion and they’re ok with it I don’t mind but I would prefer someone with the same religious beliefs
Why not have two kids and have one taught one religion and the other taught the other religion? Instead of making everything about you
@CriticalCatDad123 that's true. That would be ideal.
@CriticalCatDad123 it isn’t about me it’s about my beliefs and all my children will be taught those beliefs
But what about the beliefs of your potential partner if their beliefs aren’t the same as yours? Is it because you’re a woman your beliefs must come first?
@CriticalCatDad123 lmao “because I’m a woman” I can set my boundaries and expectations and the guy can chose to have kids with me or not…. Because I’m a woman I will have plenty of options…. I’m a woman, does that bother you?
Does it bother me? Not in the slightest. But I bet you it might bother @Simslover92…
It definitely does bother me. Just because you're a woman doesn't mean you get to decide solely what your children should be taught. It should be a decision made by both of you guys.
My first opinion answers this…. I don't know why my child’s religion is that important to strangers. My beliefs are non atheist and I am a practicing catholic, atheist views do not bother me but my children will be taught about god.

Well I'm agnostic / non practicing Muslim.. I would date believers ( as long as they're easy and not zealots ) and I would date non believers as long as they have some spiritual side.. I can't stand hardcore atheists and their cold nihilistic way of life..
No. Automatic dealbreaker for me. He has to be a Christian as well.
It would be hard for me but I think I honestly could but I'm glad I'm dating someone with similar values to mines. I can understand why it's a deal breaker for you though. That is truly hard to deal with.
Im athiest and as long as they don’t try to convert me and respect my feelings on the matter then we good.
Yes if I was dating an atheist I would never try to convert them. I think you should love the person for who they are and respect their values.
would you respect their beliefs?
Of course.
@OtterMan68 yes ofc
I'm agnostic... so in theory, I can date anyone from any religion
would they be okay dating me? that's the question
I did and it didn’t end well. I simply couldn’t come to terms with him not even believing in aliens. We parted ways.
I'm an atheist and I wouldn't date a Christian or Muslim or believe if any other stripe. Some people seem to make it work, I don't know how.
Why are you thinking about this when you are already getting married with someone?
I was watching Love Is Blind and the question just came to mind because a couple on there is dealing with one being an atheist and the other a Christian. Just curious to see others opinions on it is all. Certainly not looking to date anyone else.
Yes I could. Just avoid talking about religion or religious beliefs
Very true.
@Simslover92 Thank you for the Like
You're welcome!
I'd have someone to have interesting discussions with :)
One of the ways of an enemy is for them to send non believers to have a relationship with believers in order to distract, hinder and attack. I am amazed at how many are willing to allow this...
she would not come to church with me that is stupid.
Depends on what type of atheist
Cause I'd never interfere in their religious preference, so it'd be cool if they do the same
No. I could probably date an agnostic that is open to the gospel. But I wouldn't date an atheist. Sorry, that's a deal breaker. My faith is important to me and I wouldn't want to date anyone who doesn't share it. Sorry, not sorry.
Actually just here to see the results as an atheist myself😅, but in case of vice versa I would date the person if I like them no matter which religion they follow.
No. Nothing is more boring and useless than an atheist. All they talk about is religion and other faiths. But get all uppity and defensive when you question theirs.
I don’t date or have relationships but even if I did, Mother probably wouldn’t allow it.
when i was muslim, i was too strict and considered non-muslims animals (i know, it was my bad).
Nope, I'm Christian and will only date Christian guys
no, atheists have no respect for people of faith, and there's too much I disagree with about Islam
Very judgmental of you. Nice
Zero chance. Atheists are disgusting people to me and stupid.
And Muslims? Idiots too.
