Do you think kindness is a means of gaining success in life?

Three groups that have become financially blessed in the world are the Hebrews, the East Asian Chinese, and the Island Filipino groups.

I’ve been to Filipino churches and they are distinct in the level of inclusion and shared acceptance they offer their participants. While nearly everyone in the community is rich, none judge or discriminate against each other by factors of income. And none parade their careers for attention. It is a non factor. The factor is God and mutual kindness.

The Chinese community eschews a lot of typical entertainment that many other groups like such as raves or rock music or alcohol or baseball games. Chinese people spend nearly all their free time talking about how they will care for their family and how they can make their families better.

The Hebrews, have a highly pro social and pro community out reach stance in the way their theology and social philosophy is constructed. The Jewish culture is deeply enmeshed with gentleness, internal identity inclusivity and non combative cultural engineering in the crux of their families, and they are taught not to be grievous or heinous when angry or disappointed and there is a very positive sense of spiritual merit associated with every aspect of their lives, regardless of their stance or position or role in life.

My point is, it could be the community connection and outward social philosophies that make these groups economically prosperous in the world, although every group has good and bad exceptions to any trend and all groups have very good people in them.

Some people need to be aggressive, stern, dominant, and won’t back down to no one to gain success & recognition.
While others need to have a calm, gentle, and kind demeanor to be more approachable to others which allows them to climb up success.
Others need a combination of these attributes and find a perfect blend while also possessing the skills they learned in their specific field to find great long term fulfilling success.
Point is, there are lots of plans of attack to achieve your goals, but it takes you at the helm to navigate this world yourself and get the success that is meaningful to you. Good luck and best wishes to all.

As per @purplepoppy people need to be kind simply because it’s the right thing to do. We do not need a religion to tell us that being kind is actually the right thing to do as we go through life. Not because of financial gain, not because of religion, not because people want to look good, just simply because it’s what decent people do.

It is definitely a good thing towards success. It may not be needed, but for a lot of cases, it's a good thing. Working for someone, employing someone, networking, being able to rely on others. I believe you can achieve success on your own, but it'll be a lot harder.

Why not just be kind because its the decent right thing and not in the hope of financial Reward.
