What are your struggles as a Christian or what are you currently struggling with 💜🧚🏾‍♀️?

Mine would be music, rn. I don't know, I just had a relapse in listening to ungodly music. Which honestly was caused by a series of events in my personal life. 🥲

Nothing currently. I mean I'm always struggling with the daily of life, that's nothing new. But a few years. Back I sustained an injury at work that put me on the shelf for quite some time. And since It altered my life both in the meantime and to an extent PERMANENTLY, I didn't see how I'd move forward. I prayed over and over again and felt like I wasn't getting an answer. But I learned as I have many other times in life. God answers! It just doesn't always come on your timeline. And not always the way you expect.

I've always struggled with feeling like God cares one way or another, but that comes and goes.

Right now I'm struggling with sexual purity and what's actually wrong or right. I grew up being told that anything remotely sexual, even using the word "hot" to describe the temperature (yeah I know I grew up in a crazy family), was wrong. So now that I'm moving on from that, I've been searching for answers on my own and it's been a bit nervewracking.

I am a Christian. Why do you feel guilty about the music you are listening to? What is the music? Who said it is unGodly and what were their reasons? What is going on in your personal life that relates to this? Does the music have a positive or negative impact on your spirit as far as the personal events you describe? Does the music  cause you to actually sin  according to the scriptures? Just wondering if you can clarify a bit.

I am so glad I left the church at 16 and I never had to deal with feeling guilty over listening to a song that wasn’t expressly about worshipping Jesus. I feel very grateful to exist because of you today, thank you for that 💜

Gender identity. I feel like I'm halfway between male and female. I'm against the LGBT garbage but I feel androgynous. I found an OTC herb that redistributes fat to make me more shapely but I've stopped taking it because I don't think Jesus would approve.

Lust can definitely be a struggle. The devil loves to use perversions to get people to stumble. As well as our own flesh. Some people think every evil desire comes form the demonic but that’s not true, absolutely a lot of it is, but a lot of it is also our own hearts.

Fighting sexual sin in what’s becoming a reprobate society can be hard especially when the devil loves using demoralization.

Now I’m not saying all music is bad by any means, but you do have to be careful. Some artists are definitely messing with the demonic realm others may be unaware. Some are good people. But that’s another story.

I mostly listen to country. But if I start hearing too much pop I start feeling sick

Sex is the biggest one. I want to have a marriage, but I will never marry under laws that allow the other person to cheat and still get half of everything plus future financial support.

Also money. Sometimes I focus so much on building my portfolio to reach financial independence - more passive income than all expenses - that I ignore more important things.

Finally idolatry. Not open worship of objects, but sometimes my devotion to my guitars and music equipment borders upon it. This can overlap with the "money" issue as well.

Im definitely on you with the music. Its so easy to be swept in by the world so dont beat yourself up too much. I love music , its relaxing and calming. Even though gospel music is great, I liked almost all types of music and I believe we can relate to them in some kind of way.

Another one of mine is Anger. Like I know I am not supposed to hold onto it but I get so upset when I see a lot of injustice and good people suffer.

Trying to avoid the hypersexual nature of society as the media represents it.

I've restricted myself to Netflix and Amazon Video so I can limit what I end up watching rather than having to wade through the veritable ocean ot tits and ass on mainstream television. Even then it's not easy. Alan Ritchson (Reacher) is a born again Christian and his YouTube channel, instachurch, is brilliant - but Reacher still has nudity in it.
