Do you wish you could live as a angel?

Okay, how I imagine life as an angel is pretty cool in my opinion. You live as a being without darkness in your heart and you are surrounded by others who are just as virtuous as you. No theft, no reason to lock your doors, no reason to be cautious when someone gets too close to you and so on. Such things are just not part of your reality, you are peaceful except when you are sent to other worlds to battle evil and deliver messages to the virtuous or those who need to hear it from the heavenly father/mother/whatever.

You are eternal, you can fly with wings, you have access to Divine magic and you can shapeshift. Frankly being an angel to a variant of Yahweh who is not UTTERLY insane and sociopathic would be awesome in my eyes.

Yet there are people I have met who would not want to step foot in such a wonderful celestial plane. They would rather live in a world like Attack On Titans where there is immense pain, fear and suffering.

Would you want to live as an angel in the way I described? Keep in mind that with Divine magic and an eternity to play around with, you could get really creative and find plenty of ways to not be bored.

No. Some Catholic theologians have speculated that if the angels had any reason to be envious of man, it's because we can receive the Holy Eucharist, or the Body and Blood of Christ. They don't, but if they did, that would make sense.

Humans are a bunch of glorified lab rats that are used by the god described in the Bible as entertainment. Why put the tree of knowledge in the garden of eden? Yahweh (the heavenly father) wanted a way to blame humans for what he was going to do to them because he was bored.

Why else would in all powerful, all knowing and all present being do something so stupid? You created humans knowing they are faulty and then you put temptation in front of them while also giving them an eternity to fall to it. It's so fucking stupid. That's why I hate the Bible and how it is, it doesn't make sense.

Meanwhile angels are largely born pure, are way more powerful and don't have to be lab rats except for Lucifer.

Well we do adapt to our world! An angel has the luxury of magical powers, they can force change without necessarily having to fully understand it. If a human wants to change the world, they have to understand the darkness and change it from the inside out or smite it.

Daryl Davis is a black man who has convinced Ku Klux Klan members to give up their robes and leave the organization, senior members too. He did that by understanding them and listening. An angel would not have to listen, they would be able to fight the evil within their souls.

I agree that the concept of immortality on its own merits with no consequences is definitely awesome. Once it's actually applied? We'll have to agree to disagree. I wouldn't want to see all of my descendants pass on, or be around when the Sun consumes the Earth in approximately 4 to 12 billion years, when it expands into a Red Giant from its current Yellow Star phase.

You can literally fly, use magic (which I could fill multiple books describing what you could do with magic if you're creative enough) and explore alien worlds fighting evil or generally spreading the will of heaven to other worlds.

An example with magic that is kinky is getting a set of magic rings with portals. Put a ring on a hole, then put a ring on.. your thing and boom! Remote sex.

Or maybe you would like to talk to animals? There is a spell for that. Do you want to teleport? There is a spell for that. Do you want to levitate instruments and play them? Use your magic. Etc.
