Do you believe in angels like this or dead family members watching over you?

I used to feel alone a lot cause I was very religious and most of my family is not religious so there were many times where I wanted to talk about a religious experience and there was no one in my circle that I could share my story with. Recently I was thinking, I could picture angels following me around that knew everything I was going through so there was no need for me to share what happened to me. A guy in university told me you could eliminate loneliness with religion, if you are close to God.

Do you read the bible? People DO NOT become angels. God created angels, they are NOT people. Read the bible. None of your relatives are angels. If they gained acceptance into heaven, their souls ascended there and they rest with the father in heaven. However, this doesn't mean that you haven't had spiritual encounters on earth and the feeling of protection around you can very well be the holy ghost especially if it is a spirit of peace. You don't need to have religion to eliminate loneliness. You can become close to God by having a personal relationship with him, praying, reading the bible, speaking to him through asking for guidance on issues, and knowing the truth of the gospel. I don't think angels need to follow You around to keep You company. If God wanted so, they could speak directly to Your soul. But I definitely agree that You can eliminate loneliness from Your life if You're close enough to God. Which kind of proves I'm not close enough to Him, as I can reduce it, but not exactly eliminate it. It's just... With God keeping You company, there is no other company You need. And if You follow His directions, You can feel Him being proud of You (that's what some people interpret as having a clear conscience). When You feel this way, there isn't really anything more that You need. It's really a shame we all tend to disobey His will at times, disturbing that feeling of calm in our souls.

I think that there are things that exist in the universe that we cannot detect with our senses but every once in a while when conditions are just right we can get a glimpse of this. I do not think that they are the spirits of the dead.
