Humans are animals that will create a religion and defend it as if it's real, when they don't have one already.
A lot of modern social movements are a good example of it... if you take a good close look at most of the radicals... no religion. Not even a moral structure in a lot of cases. No matter what... they'll believe in something... even if it's retarded.
People worship the state and you really think that?
Most humans aren't good with change. The nukes would start flying and we would all die.
Hmmm... you have a good point.

This religiously fervent woman has a very bad day when Karellen, the Overlord who is "The Supervisor for Earth", and who finally appears after 15 years revealing to everyone what the Overlords look like.
Needless to say, she is a tad upset. And the Overlords knew many people would be which is why they delayed showing themselves for so long.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/XPKAPLyTvVsThe Overlords are not evil. They are peaceful and made life on Earth a veritable utopia. However, they "were tasked by a higher mind to oversee your evolution to a higher level of consciousness. It is your destiny and the destiny of many worlds."

no way kemosabe
No. How? Explain your reasoning here.
Actually, no, they don't, but I'll assume by "religions" you mean one in particular: Christianity. The claim within Genesis is that everything we know of - the entirety of physical reality - was created by God, not just Earth or the Solar System, or our galaxy. You should probably read it, you might learn something.
No. The opposite.
