Humans are animals that will create a religion and defend it as if it's real, when they don't have one already.

A lot of modern social movements are a good example of it... if you take a good close look at most of the radicals... no religion. Not even a moral structure in a lot of cases. No matter what... they'll believe in something... even if it's retarded.

Actually, no, they don't, but I'll assume by "religions" you mean one in particular: Christianity. The claim within Genesis is that everything we know of - the entirety of physical reality - was created by God, not just Earth or the Solar System, or our galaxy.
