If you could have any kind of creative funeral other than a classic coffin burial and gravestone funeral, what would it be and why?

I once told my parents that if I die they can just throw me in the creek that runs through our yard. They agreed that they could receive the same thing.
I may have felt that way as when we moved there in 68 I was six. As I goymt a couple years older I pretty much stayed in that creek area. I saw a lot of snakes, crayfish, and little fish as well as big bullfrog.
The creek ran through the park then our yard and on down into the countryside. I trekked a many mile on that creek with several friends.

I honestly like the idea of just a natural burial. No coffin, no embalming, just a tarp wrapped around me and put me in the ground. Though it would be funny if people tried to dress up and take pictures of my corpse as a kind of last memory like they did in the early days of the camera
I'd just want folks who loved or cared about me to get together and have a few laughs. I've already set the designated prank in my will.
I'm sure you'd enjoy this then 😂

I think it would be funny to have a pre funeral. This way I could actually scare people. Just imagine going up to my casket and I smile at you or motion you down to whisper “your next” or reach out and slap you or whatever.
That does sound pretty funny 😂
I like the old Viking funerals like you have depicted above. Something about wood, fire wind and water being the bare essentials of life.
Love that. I'm somewhat the same
I dont mind being cremated. I dont think money should be wasted on funerals. Have a little free memorial at a park and throw the ashes in the ocean or something
I think that most people believe they will be attending their own funeral and will be around to see the reviews.
