Depends on which part you’re looking at. The bible had several writers, the Old Testament was a collection of oral traditions written down during the Babylonian occupation of Israel, which influenced their choices of storytelling (as evidenced by comparing the Babylonian creation and flood stories to those of the bible). Much of the later half of the new testament is letters sent by Jesus’s disciples following his crucifixion. I imagine the people who wrote out the “events” of the new testament were similar teams of writers documenting what they were told to do, especially as the religion grew in popularity.

Depends, as there is no such thing as "the bible" but rather "a bible according to".

Open any chapter and it will be headed "X according to"

The reason being the bibles are actually a selected writings of various gospels, scrolls and the letters of Paul to fit a denominations ideals.

Depends which section. Book exodus is about moses and attributed to moses so yeh "the author present at the events."
