There's many ways to believe in fate and everyone has a fate, people just choose to believe how that fate is determined, some believe it's written and it was meant to be that way and others believe they can mold their destiny and that destiny resolves in the fate they choose to follow, but if you really think of it, both of these are correct at the same time because based on our choices and how we decide to live, we eventually reach our destiny but thinking in the perspective of being outside of our universe, this fate is written, your brain was wired by a higher power and that wiring led to your decisions and those decisions led to your fate, it's basically, free will and written to happen at the same time, it only doesn't make sense if you only think of it from the perspective that its only possible that it can only be one, some might argue that its not free will but to us it is, we chose it and achieved it, life is basically us living in a multiple choice existence because our minds are limited to how we think an example would be how how to a killer, killing is one of their choices on their personal "options tree" ss what we will call it.

People have different options trees, because even tho the idea is fully possible and within the reality and can happen and can be done by anyone, some will never kill so in a way killing was never in their options tree, they don't think of it, don't plan on it and they dont do it, in a way this options tree comes from how people are wired and these options are basically a limit to how each person will make their choices, I'm sure this sounds like I'm nuts if its not making any sense.

It's hard to say... If I light a match and throw it in my room, place is 'fated' to catch on fire. If my whole house is going to burn down, that's uncertain, but the firefighters will look after the cause and I'll be 'fated' to be found out as the culprit.

I don't believe in the "You were destined to be This". Like @thegreenyogi I see your pose on the profile picture. Imagine you're a yoga teacher. I wouldn't say you were fated to be a yoga teacher. You just so happened to like yoga, pursue it and made it your profession because you really did your homework and are qualified to be that yoga instructor. Because you chose to invest a great deal of time into learning about yoga. You chose it, not fate.

But... I dream and every now and then things that I see in my dreams will come true. Like a vision. If I can remember the details in that dream, I will pursue it and it'll come true. Like a lottery. I had to guess a number and the dream said a number and I just put it in and won a great deal of money. I can't explain it.

Yes and no.
I think the idea of fate/destiny is a good thing, a driving force to help give us a sense of purpose and a way to try and find what feels best for us. I want to believe we all have a reason to be here beyond just satisfying the desire of our parents to have children.
At the same time I’m not one to believe that everything is set in stone. I don’t see it as a rigid concept of “this is what I must do, this is my purpose” as much as just a guide, a compass to point you in a direction that feels good to you. I also think that perceived fate can change with enough time and focus on a certain path. We carry so much potential as individuals, it would be a shame if we only ever followed one path out of a thousand.
The only thing we’re certain we’re all fated to do is die, and I’d like to see how I live my life before that point and find meaning in this temporary existence.

To some degree yes, some things were always going to happen based on the things your inevitably going to do. And those things will attract certain people / consequences into your life.
